Onimusha doesn't really need a new game. There wasn't some ongoing story that needed closure.

People really stopped caring about Dino Crisis after the third one was a shit show.

Megaman needed a break because his games were selling horribly and even then, he's getting a cartoon that's coming out next year. You don't set something like that up without the intent to have merchandise. A game coming after that isn't out of the question.


Tatsunoko vs Capcom showed that if a company is interested then Capcom can get them for a Vs fighter. The only reason Marvel 3 can't be touched is because Marvel wanted to go full retard and have everything tie into their movies. Disney didn't force them to yank licenses, they figured they could make more if they cut out the middleman.

Any other fighter is going to take the back seat until SF5 comes out. The odds of Sony funding other capcom fighters isn't really out of the question.
