The same. I went like ten years where I didn't play games hardly at all.

The only reason I even have contact with the outside world at my house is because I have internet, and we only got internet at my house to be able to play Xbox live as a kid.

So I'd be a lonely shut-in, instead I actually am able to talk to my real life friends while I'm at home because I don't have cell service in my house.

I'm probably one of the odd cases where video games helped me succeed. My brother and sister spent their school careers socializing and are now in prison and 19 with 2 kids, respectively. I ignored every person in my life and focused on doing nothing but school and video gaming in my free time. Now I'm in uni and have a decent job and money. I might be a 21 year old emotionally stunted virgin but at least I'll be successful.

I would have been more focused on school. I let video games completely overshadow my priorities all the way through college. It ended up causing some setbacks in my life because I never found a direction, though I'm grateful for what I have.

My Asperger brain would probably find something else to obsess over. Probably books.

Vidya taught me that talent doesn't matter. Tryharding will get you success.

I was untalented as fuck in fightan games, but I tryharded for 3 years straight and now I can play SF4 at a competent level. In the SFV beta, I won 99% of my matches. (I think I lost to 4 people out of the few hundred matches I had)

I earned that through tryharding and nerding for 3 years straight.
