If money is an issue better to go with the TV, because you'll still need to buy a memory card afterwards. Just remember that you won't be able to play a couple of extremely early games like Wipeout 2048 since they never got patched for compatibility.

Not OP, but my first Sony console is the PS4. The TV is appealing because it has some older console games as well. How does this change your suggestions?

Get Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2, well worth the purchase and they work with PSTV.

With PS Vita you can play few of the best games PS Vita has like Tearaway, Gravity Rush or LittleBigPlanet PS Vita

With Playstation TV you can't play any of those plus not portability

I think Vita games are best played in a normal Vita since they were meant for it, but you wont get to use the wireless features since almost no one goes outside with a Vita
