I made that point because as a first time playing as the knight class, I got rekt so hard until I got PFS, pumped my stats through other worlds and got enough to fastroll in my armor. While when I played my magic play through, I literally just used backpedal+R1 with my spells until he died.

I haven't played EE, so I can't say, but I haven't heard any complaints about him recently. I think that it was mostly because he's the first enemy that actually does something different. I noticed a lot of people were relying too much on patient strategies, like luring enemies out one at a time, or CCing some while focusing others. This boss was a big fuck you to all of them.

I beat him my first try, but I ended up quickloading since Madora died and missed the exp. Took me 3 tries to keep everyone alive.

Also, I think that one of the changes in EE was a more even spread of exp, so you probably weren't underleveled when you faced him. That's just a guess though. On release, people were going on easy difficulty (+50% hp, and more bonuses) and dying in droves. It was a great time.

There's about a thousand ways to get passed Wiegraf, but anyone who claims to have not had trouble with him on their first playthrough without already hearing about him is full of shit. The game is so, so easy to bullshit your way through up until that point. The odds of having high enough stats, the proper skill setup, or the proper equipment setup to breeze through him on your first try are incredibly low.

Fucking Orphan of Kos is seriously the greatest boss in any soulsborne game. Loved that battle so much. Music was perfect, you almost felt bad fighting it at first but as it went along you realized how fucking insanely powerful the thing is. This guys a massive wake up call in an otherwise very easy game. When you meet him he can one shot every unit you have including the tank and can capture your main base on turn 1 if you didn't leave out enough meat shields.

I had a +15 weapon before I killed the Gargoyles because I did everything in the wrong order.

I went through Blighttown backwards (though Valley of the Drakes was correct entrance) and the anger and confusion of reaching a locked gate after going through that 15fps shithole was immense.

Then I went to Ash Lake without the Lord Vessal. Got cursed on the way down, Hydra one-shot me and I was stuck at the Everlasting Dragon until I got gud enough to kill it without getting hit. Ended up with 20 Twinkling Titrite from all the Clams I killed.

It's a wall you need to climb, like you've already done 1000s of times in the game.

But you need to do it a specific way, you have to come at it from the "end" of the pole, you can't make it from the sides.

Problem is this is the only thing in the whole game where you HAVE to go from the end, so many people didn't know it was possible since you couldn't do that in AC1.

I went in with D-Walker and assumed that only rockets and heavy machine guns would work and that if I didn't ride him fast enough Sally would take me out instantly. D-Walker ran empty with a quarter of Sally's hp left and I took him out with rockets and a pistol but it was still a tremendous amount of fun though.

Cleric beast is more of a casual filter. No terrain you can use to abuse him with.

With Gascoigne you should quickly figure out that he gets stuck on the larger patch of tombstones.

With cleric you get one easy visceral and the rest of the time you have to actually fight him. You also can't use the echoes you've built up until then either.
