Seriously though, Surrey is the hive for east indians, likewise, Richmond is owned by asians, though admittedly they've essentially claimed most of the city. If you want white people, North Van and West Van are your best bets, both of which happen to be some of the most expensive neighbourhoods in the entire country.

If you're moving for school specifically, Vancouver isnt actually that bad of a choice, since you would just be living on residence probably, and if not you would probably be able to find some roommates. That being said, canadian universities charge way more for non citizens, I pay about a fifth of what you would likely end up paying. If you want to go for school, your other options are for specifically major universities are Victoria (UVic), Kingston (Queens), Waterloo, London (Western), Calgary(UofA), Montreal(McGill), and if you want to live in the middle of nowhere Saskatoon (UofS). Ive left out Toronto because its a shithole, but I guess you could go there too, apparently UofT is a decent school. There are also plenty of smaller school you could potentially go to, and if you really want BC UBC has a campus in the Okanagan in Kelowna, That being said I cant tell you about what the cities themselves are really like, even Toronto being a shithole is just from widespread secondhand information, obtained both on and off of /v/.

I have trouble with their distance measurements mainly, I actually use them myself for my height and shit like that, but if someone tells me a mountain is 10,000 feet high I dont know what the fuck to do with that information.
