dudesex is a boring, shitty, clunky, ugly game that cant decide what genre it wants to belong to. the only thing it has going for it is its okay conspiracy illuminati plot (that you have to go through 500 hours of filler to get to) and memes (A LE BOMB XDDDD). but as far as the actual gameplay goes, its aged like shit. doing a full playthrough is tedious and boring. plus its just an edgy sickdark game in the first place - it takes place entirely at night, your character wears a trenchcoat, you deal with underground terrorist factions and government espionage. it's basically "i sit by myself at lunch in high school: the game." but of course it gets constant praise because "muh ion storm," "muh pc golden age," and "muh nostalgia." it's a solid 5/10 game that was okay for its time and absolutely shit by modern standards.

Dark Souls is easily one of the most overrated games of all time.

The only reason it got so much attention is because it came out in a time where games and gamers were used to being handheld and told where to go. The game was difficult for retards and normal for experienced players, the combat was repetitive and the level design fell off a fucking cliff at the halfway point.

it's a story and thematic that only works in videogames.
this game couldn't be a movie. This game doesn't work if you haven't played the first game. This game works best if you are a person that plays videogames.

when does the AI cheat?
There are 2 bullshit things in this game, one is that the enemy can send an invasion force by boat and the game doesn't warn you, even if you have boats along the coastlines, so you have to spend every round's end by manually checking if the enemy is trying to land a boat near you.
The other is Realm Divide, which is just a total shit mechanic, and basically forces your hand to never take allies, or even vassals.

I was very underwhelmed when I played it after all the hype I'd heard about it. I know some people say it only seems underwhelming because every FPS after it copied everything it did, so it feels old hat if you come to it after playing other FPS games. I don't buy that. You could say the same thing about Doom, but it still holds up no matter how many other games you've played.
