>get this game on a whim because it's on sale and I like elder scrolls and mmos
>remember the shitstorm /v/ had over it
>whatever, $20 who cares
>get in
>22 hours later

>Oblivion x Runescape
I'm going to assume by that descriptor that you're talking about Kingdoms of Amalur.
And yes, it is shit.

I think they're talking about TES online
For me it was just TES without any of the stuff I enjoyed in TES
>>322585371
Oh wow, I had completely forgotten about TESO.
I think that's fairly telling about the state of the game.
>>322585371
Like?
>>322585371
That's strange because it features everything I enjoy about TES
>>322585650
Pretty much this.
In a weird way the combat is even more satisfying then any TES games.

Mainly the stealing, murdering and general wandering
By zoning it so hard they forced me into clearing it area by area
Then it turned out my copy had been stolen so they revoked by license and I didn't enjoy it enough to buy again

They added theft, murder and a justice system ages ago, its actually quite lucrative.
Your zoning point is true though.
I'm not convinced.
Combat still looks like absolute shit on youtube.
Most telling is that there is, and never was a trial, even when it was still shekels by the month.
>>322586272
Theft was there when I played, it just wasn't fun in the way stealing is for me in tes proper
>>322588758
Its like exactly the same.
>>322586272
But you can't murder other players.
And why would you want to murder NPCs.
We need dark brotherhood which has contracts to kill other players.
>>322587524
Yes there was

My cousin let me borrow it for the Xbone because he didn't like it. I didn't like it.
I let my friend play it last time he was over. He had a blast because he made an orc, skipped the tutorial, screamed at the people trying to RP, then got slaughtered by mudcrabs.
