Considering what the indie movie scene is, no.

For a while it was all about gay cowboys eating pudding and discussing the unfair treatment of homosexuals in mainstream culture. Then there was the reclamation of the coming of age story, now it's all about quirky girls and their quirky problems that nobody else could possibly understand.

That, and only the most indie of indie producers would put their stuff on Steam rather than Netflix or Youtube.
