The high tickrate servers make bf4 better than bf3 by default, though personally I haven't put more than 3-4 hours into the game and am busy playing other stuff

I have BF4 Premium Edition and base BF3 (yes, even without B2K). I want to buy BF3 Premium. Am I fucking retarded or what? I remember hating BF3 because of its netcode, how's it these days? Are there many populated Premium servers?

End game DLC had a populated server on EU side last time I checked, but I wouldn't bother buying premium at this point.

Its good for nostalgia trips but now that you got used to how well BF4 handles its really hard to get back in to BF3. Netcode and suppression will annoy the shit out of you.

I had more fun in BF3 and its premium maps than in BF4 but now that the population is so low its really hard to get the proper experience, playing CQ/CQL on a specific map you want will usually end up in a 16p server.

Right now they are working on improving the game, DICE basically just left it in the dump and they are picking up the pieces to make it pleasant to play in.

It will be possible to create own stuff for it but there ain't stuff out yet.
