What are some essential DS games? RPG's would be nice but

Meteos. The variety of short and repetitive music will want you to keep playing again. The panic-inducing moments can make you go high as the sky from one little simple game.

Radiant Historia

Literally has the best JRPG protagonist I've ever seen. In fact, all the characters are good. Combat is a bit simple and easy but pretty comfy for what feels like a RPG Maker game.
