>tfw could do a manual and a ollie
>gave up cause couldnt do a kickflip

just by flicking with your feet you can spin the board like this
>Hate sports games
>Loved the Tony Hawk series until shit hit the fan
I don't understand

>Could do a manual and Ollie, gave up because couldn't kickflip
Holy fuck are you me? I could sort of do a kickflip, and what I mean by that is I could do a good flip but could never land with both feet.

I love Richie Jackson. His shit is so damn trippy. His hippie flips are just spectacular
>>322177009
that was pretty much me, I think that tricks that require more force were easier to pull off for whatever reason.

Yes, I still have my skateboard, and once I have free time in between my other hobbies and work I'd like to actually learn to do it properly. This was before the internet was big so all I could do was skate down my sloped driveway and try to ollie and fail, and I didn't want to ask anyone for help.
I was skateboarding since I was 5 and I started picking up the THPS games around 6 or 7.
>Stopped at age 12 and picked it back up at age 15 due to Skate 3
>>322174953
not only that, the board lands perfectly and the guy lands perfectly on the board
No
I just like cruising on my board
>>322177170
It's actually quite easy anon. You should definitely give it a try.
>tfw finishing school and skating to the local park with all your friends
>tfw hanging out and skating all night
>tfw now you just go to work and play vidya
why even live
>>322177343
then you should buy a longboard you scrub
My brother was a big thps fan, even ought those dvds. He learned how to ride but he couldn't do the Ollie. I felt bad and tried to teach him after watching it and realized it was harder than the games made it look. He gave up shortly after, always felt bad about it.

THPS was always an arcade - game, like the NFL blitz of skateboarding. There was another skateboarding game that was much more serious and realistic on the psx, but I can't remember what it was called. All I remember was that there was a rapper named Doctor Octagon on the soundtrack (or maybe it was a track title) and every level ended with you having to escape from police pursuing you.
>>322174670
i sure did. i was around 13 when the first tony hawk game came out. was hooked on it since day one so I taught myself how to skate because of it.
ended up skating for at least 7 years after that.
