ITT: Games you quit because they were too hard
I can beat it if I stop trying to save my dead characters in floor 10. Probably.
>Have to walk all the way out of the dungeon
>Can't fucking see where you are on the map
This shit is way more hardcore than EO, christ.
I was just playing this today, actually.
Was on the desert map, where you finally kill Valter.
And so he's the last one left, I've got him surrounded, gonna give Ephraim the final blow as poetic justice and shit. But first I wanna have Cormag take a shot, because I'm curious to see their dialogue. I notice that Valter has like a 10% crit chance even without his Killer Spear, so I give Cormag the anti-crit medallion I looted from the other boss in the north-west corner. Now it shows a 0 for Crit Chance, good!
Except ahahaha Valter still crits anyway and kills him hahahaha 3 hours of my life gone OH THE FUN WE HAVE, ME AND FIRE EMBLEM
Admittedly I was like 9, maybe someday I'll pick this back up and finish it.
that makes more sense, but I was still not aware it was even a possibility. why does a game with perma-death let the enemy units have RNG damage spikes?
WELL IT'S WORKING
>He didn't finished the easiest of the GBA games
Valter was such a pussy ass bitch, so much build up, creepyness and actually made me hate him.
Only to be killed by Berserker Ross with a crit.
What a letdown of a boss
Use cavs especially Seth and bench trainees, keep healers out of range from attackers and keep Joshua in range of the healer, stick Lute and Artur together.
You have access to your convoy at all times as well without needing to defend one.
Was this your first SRPG.
Why don't more games do this? Every game is 100hp or more. It's one of my favorite parts of Fire Emblem and Paper Mario.
8 is much harder than, say, Fire Emblem 7 Hard or even 6 Hard (at a few specific times, but still). This is without grinding, of course, while not abusing Seth. Yes, I imply that inflicting these penalties on oneself make it very challenging.
