4chan is an anonymous image board. Its purpose was always to allow for individuals to post without an identity, something that most websites encourage or outright enforce.

Now you can have an identity here via a tripcode, but it's not mandatory. Adding mandatory IDs, to any degree, goes against a core principal of 4chan.
