Why is their no threads discussing how bullshit Bloodbourne is?
Guys its fucking terrible.
Games reviewers gave this piece of shit a very positive review... It's beyond difficult. I've been playing for fucking 8 hours and still on the first fucking boss.
It's just not fun. Wheres the fun in dying over and over? enemies that change direction in mid attack, making dodging absolutely pointless. A camera that doesnt fucking work. Bosses that are simple damage sponges.
Every fucking time I've died felt fucking bullshit. People approve of this shit because "it's a hard game"; apparently, that means it's not a flaw its a feature.
At least the lore is still... stellar.
What the fuck are you talking about. Is that how you end dissenting opinion, by calling it bait?
Why not tell me where I'm wrong?
The game is fucking bullshit.
Enemies that can change direction in mid attack renders dodging pointless and looks fucking ridiculously unrealistic. Is that bait?
How about the bullshit camera that seeks to fuck up every fucking you do. Is that bait?
How about damage sponge bosses. Is that bait?
Idiots claiming it's not a flaw its a feature bullshit. Is that bait?
go fuck your self.
Hold on I have an appropriate reaction somewhere
>How about damage sponge bosses. Is that bait?
It is because typical bosses in action RPGs will take 5-10 minutes to kill. Previously you could kill early bosses in Dark Souls like the Taraus Demon in 5 hits. It was fucking ridiculous.
Stop your fucking shitposting.
The game has literal invincible frames in dodging... You're just shit mate.
Do what I said, uninstall and sell anything game related you have. Even fucking DSP who is probably a legit retard can beat the first boss.
Those big fuckers you meet pretty early in the game can do all of those things. They can charge at you change direction and if you manage to dodge that, the only way to do so is to time your roll towards them perfectly, their sweeping attack covers a ridiculous area and catches you. I'd use molotovs but they never hit the fucking target.
So, you sucking puts the game at fault?
Most people get through the game with no problems, like "8 hours on cleric beast".
Some dude finished the game without levelling a single skill.
Fucking casuals, git gud!
So it's settled. OP is a homosexual and retarded.
I always have to laugh when retards fail at souls games. They're literally not even hard, they just don't hold your hand like a little babby and you have to actually use your brain a bit. If you can do that then they're pretty easy.
took me 5 hours to beat the first 2 bosses. Its a really hard game but once you get out of the dark souls mentality, it can be pretty fun.
having 20 blood health things also helps.
Do you even know what shitposting is or are you just spewing words you've heard on the internet at me?
You think having attrition battles versus bosses is in anyway skillful? Really?
doing 27 damage per hit is fucking stupid.
I'm fucking bad at videogames and I'm still at the forbidden woods after 10 hours. How can anyone get stuck at Cleric Beast for so long? Apparently it's common, some official reviewer got stuck at it for 12 hours.
>Waa I can't beat a game
>That means it fucking sucks
Jesus christ, I probably spent a good while during my first time playing dark souls trying to get to the gargoyles, but this is just pure concentrated autism.
you are dodging too early. wait until its just about to hit you then move out of the way.
seriously though 8 hours on the first boss? you should have figured out how to use your controller before you started playing.
Do you really think killing bosses in 5 hits is skillful? Dark Souls bosses die so fast I've had to intentionally weaken my characters to enjoy them more.
If you have a lengthy battle you have more time to experience all the boss has to offer and can even have transitions to mix it up. They're long and satisfying duels.
Fuck the bait, lets talk about the game. I just got enough shit to make it into the first Ailing Loran Chalice and things are finally getting challenging. How deep has everyone made it? I still don't quite have enough blood to make an Isz Chalice yet but I'm expecting some good stuff.
Yes I did and waste of skin class.
I finished DS2 with a forsaken character using a sword only. I only used the Heavy shield for the Persuer and smelter demon. Bloodbourne is pure bullshit.
The exact opposite shit happened with Dark Souls 2. People complained about how fucking easy it was compared to the first one. for fucks sake enjoy the game and stop complaining about it
My first playthrough for dark souls 1 made me wanna fucking throw my computer out the window, it's dark souls, get over it.
Maybe you need to go back to playing Wii Sports? Some games are actually quite challenging, don't get so upset that you suck harder at video games than you do on daddy's dick.
>complaining about difficulty in the second most casual souls game
Git gud m8, then meet me in DS1 so I can smash ur fooking hed in.
Ah swear on me mum.
I did that with the pistol. It held its head. I attacked it and a short cutscene later it split its head in to two bloody halves...
the problem is is just doesn't do enough damage. I can get a few 3 hit combos in until it gets enraged then I'm lucky if I can hit it maybe twice after it leaps at me.
Spam the shoot button.
Press up in the D-Pad to get 5 more bullets in exchange for some HP.
Heal with a vial.
Run away after you riposte the head, wait for the head to regen, then repeat.
If you can't into close range, practice dodging and managing the camera, with the strat I've posted.
That's just fucking sad OP. I played for 1 hour yesterday, beat the the cleric beast on my first try
He is fucking nothing, you can probably just run past all the enemies and beat him in like 5-10 minutes
>Boohoo this game is broken bullshit hard
than how does everyone else manage? Stop making excuses, wind down and try again later you whiny shit
>tfw can't tell if bait or the OP just sucks that fucking hard at vidya
Wait, Cleric Beast is the first boss?
I just got to Father Guacamole and never encountered that beast before
IF IT IS SO HARD
THEN HOW DID EVERYONE ELSE MANAGE?
You're just a whiny bitch. Even if the game is "artificially difficult" that doesn't mean that you don't suck. Everyone else in this thread is doing fine, you're the only one whining here
Idk how you people are struggling. I've never played a souls game in my life before this nor have I touched any single player games either. Took me about 1 hour to get passed the very steep learning curve, but that's it.
This game is easier than the souls games before it. It's faster paced and the combat is less clunky, making it manageable. It's fucking really easy to get lost, I found, but difficulty wise it's not that bad. There's your response.
>Bosses that are simple damage sponges.
I just beat Father Gascione or whatever about 15 minutes ago on my third try. It took 4 visceral attacks to kill him. If that's what you consider a damage sponge, you need to play something other than Super Mario Bros. for a change.
Maybe just for me, I always walk down a branching path out of curiosity. I took a side path away from the bridge of the Cleric Beast that I later found out lead to Father Gascoigne before dying and finding the cleric beast.
If you cannot beat cleric beast, I somehow would like to watch you creating a thread about blood starved beast.
You might as well sell this game if this optional boss is too hard for you.
>discover you don't lose insight from dying in contrast to Dark Souls where you lost humanity
>breath a sigh of relief and play the game having a blast
>notice some bosses are easy
>I must have gotten good quick!
>notice my shit starts getting kicked in constantly
>discover how much insight you have the difficulty of enemies and bosses raises considerably
>they even get new moves or phases
Miyazaki you beautiful fucking troll.
I ain't even mad. I should have known better.
Where do I find that holy blade? That really long sword. Also I'm using those twin dagger knives from that bird bitch but they are weak as fuck compared to my other weapons. Trying to level them up because their flashy as fuck
>complaining about an optional boss
Out of the 19ish non Chalice dungeon bosses you only need to fight 7 of them to beat the game
>weak as fuck
Have you no respect for your elders?
I was so fucking drunk when I beat Gascoigne I didnt even know until the next morning when I booted the game up
funny thing is he was kicking my ass when I played sober and prepared
I swear to god the confidence you gain while pissed translates through into the game as noone intimidated me
I beat Cleric Beast in one try. It was an intense fight, but I could see his swings coming easily enough. Father Gascoigne took me about 5 tries. Blood-Starved Beast took me 2 tries. I almost beat him the first time, but then he did that super poison cloud which I didn't notice instantly poisoned me at first. Then he hit me once, and my health dropped in seconds, as I tried to dodge his other combos.
I'm enjoying all the bosses so far, though.
>8 Hours of dying over and over
Well I just think that is personal opinion. I beat the boss without much trouble and I beat the second boss leveling up twice not soon after. I'm sorry your experience isn't going well.
It's true. AGS who's working on the official guide with From has even confirmed it himself. Bosses are completely unaffected. The only thing you might notice is your frenzy resistance changing
then tell me how im wrong when I've fucking tested Blood Starved Beast, Rom, and Witches of Hemwick with upped insight and less insight on different characters with the same stats and the fights were harder with insight. They even have new moves. I don't care because some From cock sucker thinks he is the expert on this game. Im not the only one that's tested this either.
i gave my normalfag friend a go at bloodborne (he barely plays games, hasnt owned a console since PS2, and even he got past those 2 of those big guys together without any advice from me other than what buttons do what.
Those guys are so slow you'd have to be paying 0 attention to get hit by them.
>le git gud meme
Nice job making people reply, OP.
Her armor is awesome but you do realize if you do her quest you not only get the armor and her weapon but you get her covenant rune that increases stam regen. You fucked up nigga.
Ok, so my insight goes up a little bit every once in awhile I notice. I've also been getting those items Madman's Knowledge. I know those increase insight more, but what it the purpose? Is it just for if I want to see more weird shit and have a harder game?
so you know how specters don't show up a lot of the time when you hit X on them? Does anyone know if insight affects that? I feel like I'm having more luck actually getting to see specters as I get more insight.
You probably just ran into the BB memory leak that affects bosses' attacks
If you play the game for a long time bosses will start to bug out and only do the same simple mover all over
So how is Bloodborne in comparison to the other Souls games?
I'm a PC player, so I've only played Dark Souls 1 and 2. But I'm thinking about getting a PS4 once it gets more games.
pretend Cthulhu is in a city.
pretend Cthulhu is watching you as you make your way down the street.
Now Pretend Cthulhu is invisible.
Insight lets you see him watching you.
It really makes things unsettling when you can see them watching you.
> I don't own the game at all and it's obvious!
There is all sorts of stuff in New Game Plus that isn't in the first playthrough, why do pcfags like you get so mad and lie over things?
And here is your reply
All of them are fun. Mechanics are different but for the most part still really fun.
What was your play style in DaS and Das2?
>gain 40 insight
I no longer look behind me and up when I walk out of the Cathedral Ward lamp room.
>Constantly running out of blood vials after using my reserves to fight Vicar Amelia
>Go to Hemwick, since that's probably where I'm supposed to go
>Blood shard, blood shard, twin blood shard, quicksilver bullet
>No blood vials ever
Miyazaki loves to put nods to his favorite game series, anime, etc etc. Hell Logarius Wheel is a Beserk reference. I don't care though cause its fun bashing niggas with a Wheel.
>tfw I kill all friendly npcs and friendly hunters too.
>tfw I sent all those peeps to be safe at the chapel just to kill them later on.
I never said I was a good guy m8's
>not all enemies can change directions during an attack
>camera has a setting to not auto fix
>damage sponge bosses
Personally never felt like a boss wasn't taking enough damage and felt good about the damage I was doing.
Maybe you should put down the game because clearly it isn't a series for you.
> being retarded and not sticking to the side that holds the pendant
> being retarded and grinding for vials instead of just getting some blood echos and buying a bunch in the shop
A Hunter of Hunters doesn't just kill any other hunter on sight, they only kill the ones that fail to respect the dead, showing that they're too close to beasthood to be trusted.
Things die before I can regain all my lost HP most of the time. I try to go for viscerals, but Hemwick is filled with sets of stairs that make visceral attacks not work for some reason
regain is shit, you are supposed to chug vials like a yharnamite. you are supposed to have to choose to spend echos on vials or level, it reinforces the "only one currency" for everything mechanic.
>mfw I'm also stuck on the first boss but don't want to ask for advice
Exactly! Eileen was not just some assassin. She took down hunters that lost there minds and started attacking other hunters. Its funny too cause if you hadn't killed Gasicone im quite sure she would have. Sad too because I get the feeling that they were friends once. She seemed to know that he was losing his mind to the point of no return.
You'd like it probably. The most accessable builds in the beginning are Str or Skill. Going Blood or Arcane is a chore in the beginning to about mid. But They pay off way later.
Obvious bait thread made to Make both Sonybronies and Bloodbourne look like shit.
Im a PCfag, and i still see right through it.
Why would you fill this thread with over 100 posts like it merits actual discussion?
Right at the moment when I killed ROM two spiders did that jump attack on me and killed me. It was cool that the souls I got from ROM where still there but god that was fucking infuriating to run back there after a cutscene teleports you to another location.
whoops you meant the rally system, I thought you meant regain as in fucking passive regain from runes and bloodgems.
it's hard to fully restore life with rally and often times the difference between life and death at 1 or two hits is a sliver of HP. rally is for getting health up enough so you can fully heal with just one vial.
Traditionally, it's Cleric however he really plays no real role other than to introduce you to how bossfights are gonna begin everytime.
Th real boss of the area is Father Gascan, if you can just think of Cleric as a miniboss.
Don't listen to the hype/marketing. People who actually like it don't like it because it's hard and because they die a lot. Liking it just for those reasons is missing the point. If you don't like it, don't like it man. Don't feel like you should enjoy dying over and over, because that's not the point of the game, no matter what the marketing said about Dark Souls.
Does BB have varied environments? Everything I've seen looks like the same victorian london setting. All the souls games had varied environments and the locations was part of what made me enjoy them
Or maybe I'm mistaken and there are other places, but then it would just so happen that every video, webm, and pic I've seen from BB has been the same "almost colorless dark blue moonlight streets" setting.
>Let the crazy man I found at the Windmill, into the Chapel
>When I get back the elderly lady is dead
H-he killed her didn't he?
I still had to run from that place where you get teleported to a lamp and then teleport to hunters dream and then to the rom lamp. It was annoying is all I'm saying. Mostly because of the load times which don't bother me that much unless I have to do shit like that.
>can't even ask questions about bloodborne without LEL LEL NEVER EVER bullshit
I though he was just looting dead bodies.
HE KILLED HER!
YOU SENT HIM THERE!
IT'S THAT LITTLE GIRL ALL OVER AGAIN!
HOW MUCH MORE NEED TO DIE BECAUSE OF YOUR DECISIONS!
The camera is my worst enemy in this game
Locking on might as well be a suicide note
But not doing it means you might get fucked over by not seeing what's coming for you
Camera really sucks ass
>see a naked man eat human flesh
>he's friendly obviously to lure you into helping him
>oh shit he looks hungry, better put him in a place where there's a lot of people!
kill him now. he'll kill the qt you rescued from the hidden village also
You just suck.
The new movement and stunlock options make this easier than ever.
Do you even realize how easy someone like FlameFucker would be with the bloodborne movement options?
I guess I'll put him out of his misery the next time I boot up the game.
At least now, I now what NOT to do in NG+.
> people don't like challenging games
because punishment for death is harsh I don't die a lot and put in effort not to. people who think death is inevitable and you should just use trail and error have a losers mentality.
you shouldn't encourage people to have casual shit tastes because it condems them to having mediocre experiences with all games at best.
The environments have some slight variance, but it's all within a cohesive mold;
>Nightmarish hidden city.
>Isolated haunted castle.
>Strange cragy mutant swampland.
>Queer tower to ayy lmaos.
All-in-all it's not too different, but the areas are squeezed together in a way that's quite convincing and atmospheric. People in here complain about the lack of varieties because they want to see a bunch of standard RPG areas shoehorned into the game, but not a single person I know that's played it has made that complaint. They way it's put together sells the package convincingly, whereas in the previous games you'd cross some imaginary threshold and the world would suddenly change architecture/filters/geography/etc.
Yeah there are varied environments, but there is a much greater consistency. Though I enjoyed the extreme variation in Dark Souls, I appreciate it. Along with the more complex level design, it makes everything feel a lot larger and more real. Yharnam feels a bit more like a city since you're in and around it for a lot of the game. And everything is much denser, like there are a shit ton of little details that differentiate areas that may otherwise look very similar.
And yeah, most of the footage that I've seen (I stopped looking at screenshots and trailers a while back) just shows around central Yharnam at night anyway. The game actually starts during sunset and as the game progresses it slowly turns to night.
Stop it Anon, you're making me 2scared to fight him.
On the one hand you're a fucking grease ball in bloodborne with a heavy emphasis on aggressive combat while still being careful.
But you don't have a shield, the only reason you're so strong and swift in bloodborne is to compensate for the complete lack of defense in the vein of a shield.
On the other hand you're still a fucking monster able to slide out of danger so you wouldn't really be handicapped, the games balanced pretty well around its offense.
Now the other way around would be pretty hard, but not undoable.
However I don't think you'd really stand a chance against the smaller enemies, they're designed in BB to be struck down before they can hit you, often times
using attacks with a large radius. You don't really have any crowd control weapons in the souls games, at least on par with something like the weapons in BB.
> not knowing how to use a camera
> not knowing how to lock on strategically
> not being aware of your surroundings and getting backing into a corner
> not knowing how to lock off for free form movement to get out
> blaming the camera for your own mistakes
Well think of this.
On the night of the hunt people are told to stay indoors.
The whole village and the men are gathering together to patrol their city.
This suspicious guy appears and out of fear they attack him.
They don't know the suspicious guy but they do know each other.
I imagine part of their mind is under the spell of the blood making them more beast like in thinking but they are familiar with eachother otherwise.
Piano is hard, I was playing for over 8 fucking hours and I can't play chinese chopticks the piano is absolute bullshit, I can't believe people like this thing. Where the fun is screwing up over and over? songs that key mid score, making learning scales absolutely pointless. A time signatures that doesn't even work, songs that are just stupidly long. Every fucking time i've failed it's felt like fucking bullshit. People approve of this shit because its 'music' apparently that means it's now a flaw its a feature.
Go kill yourself.
itt: people who can't take criticism, people who want to feel like they're pro players by bragging about how little time the game took them, retards who's vocabulary consist only of the words "git" and "gud".
Difficulty is rarely a valid criticism. BloodBorne has plenty of other issues, but it does not have artificial or unfair difficultly, it presents a fun challenge to most.
i played through all of DaS with a damage sponge strength bruiser build (havel set and shield, Manserpent greatsword fully upgraded) and once did not use roll or dodge, just tanked with my shield through everything.
i dont have a problem with bloodborne whatsoever. finished central yharnam in less than 2 hours and got to rom in like 13 hours. how people get stuck in the first area of the game is just pitiful
probably the only "artificial" difficulty in bloodborne was the 3 hunter gankfest in Yahargul. you really had to cheese them and die multiple times to kill them. i have yet to see someone barge in there and simultaneously fight and kill all three without dieing
So basically people who can't do shit in this game are pretty much DSP tier? I guess not being able to buy 99 lifegems and have repairable Life Protection rings really changes up the game
>people who think death is inevitable
No exactly, that's what I mean. I feel the marketing for Dark Souls emphasized "you're gonna die over and over" too much, and so some people who go into it just feel like "well this is apparently the point of the game, to die over and over, this isn't fun". When, for me at least, giving the player full responsibility for what happens to him, makes exploration feel so much more worth it and makes intense battles that much more intense. I mean to say that I don't like the games because "they're hard" (like OP thinks people do) but because their worlds are very genuine, which results in a very compelling and nicely challenging game.
Should have saved my gameplay. If you aren't an idiot, you will take out first the long range guy and leave the spell one for last. Never once felt forced to cheese in this game, there is always a smart way to defeat bosses.
Yeah I skipped the Cleric Beast at first, so I thought Father Gascoigne was the first boss. So when I came back the Cleric Beast was a fucking joke after beating the next couple bosses
What kind of fucking world do we live in, everyone bad at this game should feel ashamed
a DaS2 boss would be pretty fucked since they whole stick is the 3 hit combo some times followed by something else, with BBs system they would stagger or just not be able to keep up with the character
DaS bosses would be able to put some hits in since they have a more variable move set, but in the end you would be way too fucking moveable for the boss to keep up with you
DeS bosses that you actually fight would range from completely a massacre (phalanx and Tower Knight) or a quite fair fight (FameLurker and False King), some bosses would be near impossible though (Armoured Spider)
DeS had quite options for crowd control since it had a faster pace combat than DaS, a simple Short or Long Sword could do some pretty good crowd controlling since the hitboxes were the actual sword model mash and the animation made you swing quite qide per hit
also the fucking meat cleaver had amazing moves for a heavy STR weapon when it comes to crowd controlling, rolling R1 having an AoE for example
Every single time I get Ebri to 10% she starts doing absolute bullshit like charging five times in a row and I can't do anything about it
It's seriously artificial difficulty as fuck because the game knows I'm two hits from killing her
So I beat
Gherman the first hunter today and it turned out he was the final boss. I'm now in ng+ even though there were still some areas, secrets and weapons that I had to find. Am I fucked? Should I play NG+ or start a new character?
you try to cheese them by luring them all the way to the lamp and killing them through the doorway
if you try to do it the normal way you will die 100%
miyahacky didn't even play his own game
The reviews really should reflect how inept you are.
I just want to know if it's still fun in NG+ and not too hard. I'm pretty worried that the enemies are going to be damage sponges now. I don't have any weapons upgraded to +10, only 1 to +9.
Although I really like the burial blade, so that's one reason to keep playing my NG+ character.
HOLY CANOLIE WHERE CAN A JABRONIE FIND THE CHURCH OF BLOOD MINISTRONIE? TELL ME BEFORE I RIPPERONIE IN PEPPERONIE.
Come now, my brother whom has barely played a souls game and kept fucking up and hitting square instead of R1 to attack beat the cleric beast and gascoine within 2 hours.
Really I hate to use this fucking meme but god damn it anon, git fucking gud.
I can't say if it's going to be too hard to be fun because that threshold is different for everyone. Why don't you go through a bunch of chalice dungeons and level up/ find uncanny and lost weapons before going through again? If you're at around 100 at the start it shouldn't be too painful.
That's nice anon, but in other news fuck you Rom. That's a legit frustrating boss battle, got him today after a few hours and many deaths. Found out that bolt paper and R2 swinging the hunter axe can take out heaps of those spiders at a time.
cant tell if bait, or if this nig just needs to git gud
i dont know what's with everyone's hate against the threaded cane, it's so much fun to use. especially against crows. op is just a huge faggot who doesn't upgrade his weapons like the rest of us
What are the most effective ways to max out Blood Vials. I want to play but I also want to minimize my grinding.
>tfw beat Father Gigglybuddy on my second try by spamming the axe 2h power move while he was stuck behind some graves
>first ever area in chalice dungeon
>bridge with axe pendulums everywhere
>a fucker at the end of it throwing poison daggers that stagger me enough to get fucked by one of the axes
I wasn't supposed to fight the Cleric Beast first?
I was farming to get my health and strength up as much as possible in order to do it.
Oh well, at least it's dead already and the spawn point is up.
I find the game serviceable and somewhat slow paced in movement and the fighting a bit clunky.
Losing your exp, and your progression isn't much of an issue, it's more so having to wait so damn long to continue that feels aggravating.
If nothing else, you can farm until you can add more health and stuff in order to progress, so you're not left completely in the dark.
Do you, by any chance, like Skyrim?
>People don't agree with me and my terrible opinions?
To get the holy blade...take a left out of oedon's Capel, use the switch on the second floor of that church where you find that lore npc which reveals a staircase to the next zone. After finishing that zone that locked door in oedon's Capel opens. Get the badge for the holy sword at the top of that tower.
Now I'm not what you would call a "fan" of Bloodborne, but I will say this.
You need to learn to adapt to situations presented to you in these "hard" games.
The fun from these games comes from learning from your mistakes and finally overcoming obstacles.
People who think games should hand everything to you every two steps are the worst in the gaming industry.
Games are fun for many different reasons for many different people, but I can promise you unnecessary rewards are not fun, they're pandering to people who need instant gratification. These people shouldn't be playing video games for this.
I personally prefer being faced with a difficult challenge that I can overcome with enough thought put into it. The best reason to do this in a video game is because there's no real life repercussions from it. So no matter how tough the situation I can take a break if I need to and not worry about it having an actual impact on my life.
Get gud scrublord.
Who else is Threaded Cane + Flamesprayer Skill/Arcane, here?
I'm not too far in, only killed the first 7 bosses, but so far this build is wrecking shit. I have a friend who did his first playthrough pure Strength, only using his starting pistol for parrying, and he later made a Skill-based character. He reported back to me asking me how I can do it.
He also says that Rom the Vacuous Spider is my next boss, and that it's hard as balls until you learn the fight. I'm excited to see if I can just burn it to death before things get too dicey.
>magic, guns use bullets
>often shitloads, like 10 at once
>"I'll go arcane so I can play a gunslinger that gets lots of bullet pickups"
>Item Discovery doesn't actually change drop rates or increase the number of items dropped
>It just makes chunks drop instead of shards, sometimes
>many areas don't even have vial or bullet drops from enemies
>you end up playing the exact same way as a quality build because you don't want to have to go back and farm up vials or bullets
I imagine people will end up complaining about Bloodborne's horrendous replayability and endgame a lot more after a month or two. Right now too many faggots are still excited because it's new, and unwilling to listen to any form of criticism.
So island idk if I'm lost or not going in the right way, but I'm in cathedral Ward and came to a spot with half wolves and those white face dudes, then theres a stairway with a bunch of big guys
Is that the way to the boss?
It depends on how you play the other Souls games. It's a lot harder to cheese enemies in Bloodborne; you're not gonna make it through the whole game with a shield and a bow and arrow. If you play through Demon's Souls or the first Dark Souls without building yourself around defense and.or long range, though, then you'll probably find those more difficult.
Dark Souls II is still the easiest, regardless.
>Not using the stake driver
What kind of scrublord fagget are you?
>Find birdmask woman at the beginning of the game.
>Talk to her fully
>Read about how she next appears at the zone you can send NPCs for safety if you open gates to get her there.
>She never appears.
>She isn't back at the beginning.
>She isn't anywhere she's supposed to appear.
>She's just gone, completely and totally.
The only thing difficult about the cleric beast is the camera if he corners you. If you're really having that much trouble, just molotov him to death once he goes SSJ.
Of course, if you can't beat cleric beast you're never going to beat the next boss, or any of the actually difficult bosses like Martyr or the end boss.
I'd like to emphasize, I'm only at the Forbidden Woods. Just looked up said "Stake Driver," and it doesn't seem I even have access to it yet.
Does look fun though, and no stat-based damage multipliers. I might just try this thing out on my next playthrough.
She won't appear outside the chapel until you open the gate shortcut leading to the area boss.
You have to do that by either going through all of Old Yharnam or by buying the 10k blood emblem you use to open a main gate on the other side of the chapel map, and then climb an obscure ladder down an alley surrounded by guys to open up the gate that way.
>bow to the doll just for the fun of it
>Mfw when she bows back
Not really. None of them do enough damage, other than maybe the cannon, which you get TWO shots out of before it's back to a normal build.
You don't really get enough drops in the game to sustain a magic or gun build, and item discovery doesn't actually increase drops at all, only upgrade shards to chunks and so on.
No fooling? I explored every single area that I could find before killing Vicar Amelia, and I don't recall getting this "Powder Keg Badge" that the wiki says unlocks it. Maybe I did, though.
>sucked at Dark Souls
>honestly, it was mostly because I hated the ridiculously forced, defensive gameplay
>beat Cleric Beast on first
The only enemies so far that mess me up are the ores because it's hard to tell if they're doing the triple sweeping attack or the dodgable front wards attacks.
Really op get better, I beat the first boss (cleric demon or something) on my first try, just be patient and don't get greedy. That being said I do feel that the blood vial system is complete shit since if you run out of vials in a boss fight you suddenly have to go farm said vials all over again rather than just going back in. Obviously I don't need all 20 vials but having to stop to farm when I do run out kinda sucks, the game should just auto move spare vials (anything after 20) to your storage shelf to eliminate this piss poor farming method brought on by 3 minutes of loading because we can't just sit at a Lantern to reset mobs instead of teleporting out and back in.
Honestly, after 5 hours i managed to engage the first boss and in the first try i klled him.
The câmera, however, give me a hard time at the boss fight but nothing ground breaking.
Anyway if i, who never was able to play Souls games did managed to kill him, you should as well. Dont be a faggot over that. AND. GET. FUCKING. GOOD.
No, why is that a bad idea? I really just despise farming breaks in a game where I have to warp twice to reset the mobs. None of the other games ever had a limit of 20 on their healing items, neither demon souls no das2, das doesn't count since it gave you estus at every bonfire.
It does it with more than just vials. Before you ask, run past the doll and up the stairs. Go in the house and your storage chest is just to your right.
DSP also duped a ton of coldblood dews and basically boosted himself to a ludicrous level and still every inch was a struggle
I think all the Souls games are pretty equal in how good they are, there is no best or worst
You need health vials to supply them. In many areas of the game, vials don't drop at all.
The best way to deal with it is to make bullets and then try to use regain on something to make the health back.
A pretty shitty system.
The heal costs 10 bullets and heals back roughly the cost of 10 blood bullets, for a net loss.
Even ignoring that, the idea that anyone would use that heal ability for half of your entire bullet stock is ridiculous. Invaders will use the cannon (10 bullets) since it can end an otherwise extremely long match very quickly.
Not even close. DaS2 is the hardest (especially the scholar version) then maybe BB. BB does have some bullshit parts but I found the vast majority of it to be extremely easy. BB is weird in that like 95% of the game is extremely easy and the other 5% is ridiculously hard. There is no in between.
dark souls 2 was exceptionally mediocre.
Dark souls one was better realized, but actually not that much better than DaS 2. At least after ornstein and smough.
Im starting to believe those shitposters that always say demon's souls is da besto
You need to shoot the sword as soon as he puts it down.
Other than that it's just dodging through his swings and hitting him a few times. He's also one of the easiest bosses in the game to parry. When he runs at you to swing, firing when he reaches you will almost always parry him. In his first form, baiting out out his scythe swing is also an easy parry.
>mfw didn't save Arianna or adella before the blood moon
now my blood vials don't health shit wtf from now i need to finish my game with an estus flask +1
There are no blood vial upgrades. Iosefka and Arianna will give you a single-use vial that's better, but then you gotta go back to them to go get another single vial. The up-side is that your normal blood-vials scale based on your max HP anyway, so they never get outdated.
The only issue would be the "true" ending, which Arianna has an item for. There are 4 in the game, you need 3 of them, and 2 of those 4 are potentially missable. As long as you haven't killed Iosefka before killing Rom, you'll be able to get 3.
This whole thread is like watching retards fight
"DERR GAEM BAD FUK U"

This is every fucking Bloodborne thread, christ.
Which guys? I don't remember anything remotely hard at hypogean gaol besides darkbeast
Leave your game running in rest mode. After 12 hours it bugs out and becomes easy mode. Bosses only execute their basic attacks, no special moves. That's how 99% of people beat BB. They didn't know they played a bugged version of boss fights. They think they're good but they're not. All those people beating bosses on first try are just experiencing the bug.
