PC players had nothing but screenshots of the early build of the game up until release, and for some reason thought they were still getting that version.

DS2's lead platform had been PC, and PC players spent forever hyping it up. Then DS2 turned out to be a side project developed by an inexperienced team. People were understandably pissed.

PC players then saw the Project Beast leak. Then the reveal happened, and it turned out that the game they thought they were hyping up was a fake, and the real one was Bloodborne - which was Sony exclusive.

Now Bloodborne has to suck at all costs so they can save face. Which is where the retardation comes in.

A port doesn't have to be good to be on the lead platform. More importantly B Team said at least once that PC was the lead platform for DS2. Didn't change the fact that all PC got out of it was an extra 30 frames.

Anyone else underwhelmed? The whole world and feel of the game really doesn't interest me. I remember when dark souls 2 was announced I was super excited and the game looked amazing. Bloodborne from what we have seen so far just seems so bland.I'm not feeling the whole Victorian City setting and dark environments. The combat sacrifices variety for fast pace combat. The reddit tier weapons just really make me cringe. The morphing weapons look so silly, and really a cane sword? The bosses we seen so far all lack originality and the enemies look boring to fight. I think the enemies look boring to fight because the game lacks variety in combat and forces you to always play fast pace and rushdown. The graphics don't look next generation at all. The game also feels like it lacks the lore that DeS/DaS had.


Just my 2 cents.

While I still bought and enjoyed DaS2, I really don't know how people were excited for the game when the initial in-game footage was shown. Even the "good" footage, to me, didn't impress me. It didn't "feel" right to me: the animations, the design, and the color palettes felt awkward and disconnected from the first games. It was so pronounced that I brought it up with the friend I played DeS with, and he completely agreed.

And I can't describe it now, but BB feels like it's going back to what was interesting about the first two Souls games. I never thought I'd find the atmosphere that compelling(the original CGI videos really didn't impress me), but since the gameplay reveals I've been pretty excited.

I guess for everyone, how we view these things can be different.

The initial release of PS3 had tremendous issues with connections. You wouldn't even see signs hardly at all. They patched it, and suddenly you would see them.

The PC version was dogshit in that regard too, don't lie. It got somewhat repaired with the DSCFix, but it's only cause if you connected to someone once, it made the entire process better. After switching to Steamworks, it went right back to being pretty shit.

But yeah, uh, DaS sold more on consoles than on PC.
