Are any of the Elder Dragon Greatswords worth using. I hear the Dalamadur GS can't even get pyrple sharpness

Game is too easy once you use your brain, or watch gajin hunters tutorials.

Once you learned how to use a weapon, the game becomes a cakewalk, and the only real challenge comes from grinding monster materials. It would have helped if one or two monsters would have had some new moves at some point, but basically everything up until G-rank is just a remodeled version of one of 4 movesets.
Atmosphere was decent though.

Yes.

Personally, I don't think either game is "harder" than the other but I think MH is much much deeper. It has more "boss" fights than DaS, more mechanics and WAY more endgame content.

/v/ I could use some advice.

So I'm a IG user, I love the attack style, the mobility, and even the essence micromanaging. While it's still going to remain my main weapon I'd love to pick up another to spice up my gameplay and take a break from that feeling if I need to farm or just go too long. Here the thing though with my preferences:

I already use the HH as a backup, but I like healing horns and my buffs and play styles are only good for group hunting, I need a weapon I can use in single hunts too. I don't like the lance, its lack of movement and plain attacks arent a solo style for me (I like the gunlance even less, it takes away what feeling of versatility I have). And as for ranged I have used the HBG in multi's but I doubt that little mobility and increased reload would be good at all in single player against things like the Tigrex with his rush spam or anything else up close. Also I dont like the Great Sword, just too slow for me, I dont even feel like I have I have big speed problems with the hammer but FUCK the GS.Know those can any better experienced MH players recommend me another weapon?

Seems you like mashing and going fast. Try Dual Blades.

SA is another decent choice with about the same mobility as HH, plus its great at cutting tails and it gives you ESP (attacks don't bounce off) in sword mode.

Immediately switch the Bow control scheme to type 1. The default scheme is horrible.
Oh, and I have pretty much gunned since MHFU. I used to love GS and DS in the older games, but now I just make them and use them when on drunken rampages.

You don't always get guild quests for the specific monster that you hunt. Hunt a whole bunch of shit, and different monsters have different percentages for giving you guild quests of certain monsters.
I managed to get the Kirin quest by hunting a Gore Magala, for example.

How am I doing?

How much mounting is too much mounting online? As a SnS user, I'm hopping up and down ledges all day and keeping the monster locked down for about half of the hunt. It's safe, and for some monsters like Gravios it's all I can do to deal damage, but is it boring for the other hunters?

Maybe not Mashing and mobility specifically, but I do like the feeling that I can get out of the way quick and the ability to apply strategy to my fight rather than just shuffling around and poking straight then up. I was considering SnS, I could get used to playing with combat items, but I heard its got low damage compared to everything. As for te dual blades I see so few people using them it scares me that they're either scrub weapons and suck or for pros only.

As for GS maybe I'm being harsh, I tend to try and think ahead so I sort of overthink it. Is most of that playstyle charge attacks and predicting placement or is there more to it?

I made a mixed mashed set to get Load up, Bonus Shot and (for no real reason) CE+1 to use with Maelstrom+.
That setup already breaks most high rank quests online. I hate to think how much more I can status lock things when Kettleblower releases and I can get Status Atk+2 as the third skill. Probably put Blast Shot add on it aswell for bringing fliers down for a laugh.
