Boss Rush mode would never work in Souls games, for reasons of lore.

From what I'm seeing, you're just controlling an enemy in the area, but your character is still there...meaning you'd have to utilize chameleon if you wanted to effectively fuck with invaders/hosts.
But the enemies also seem to target the "controlled" enemy, do they completely avoid the player then?

So once you figure out the ID for the bosses you should be able to just port them to wherever you are. Then make yourself invisible or something.
