>Risk of Rain
Really? I mean, I really enjoyed the game. I spent 200 hours playing it after all, but I don't see how it could be in any way considered essential.
It's not a particularly good game. The only reason to consider it essential would be to be able to counter the arguments of people who only play on consoles that claim the game is a masterpiece.
>exploration of multiple floor labyrinth
>drawing your own maps
>tons of customization
>can make a party full of grown men, or a party full of lolis
>difficult, post game is even harder
>on top of that all, really good music
It's a unique experience that no other game will give you. Everyone should play one of EO games at least once.
Also, the list is lacking in dungeon crawler department.
put all the "endless" games (space, legend, dungeon of the) on there as well as remove all those garbage mainstream games and add a bunch of indie games and....nah your list is shit
>"Generic Fanatsy" is now a catch-all word for fantasy
>This is now an actual argument people make
Its pretty funny seeing as how Sci-Fi is far more samey in its genre than fantasy ever was.
>Fanatsy is now based on how it looks
>LoTR's became popular as a book series because of its art direction
And this is why you're a fucking idiot who barely understands the genre.
1 is pretty bad and other games improve on it.
They added strafing with LR, animations are much faster, Boost system was made much more useful, cheaper resting costs, abilities are more balanced, and probably more I forgot.
