Sure, it took a few years, but it was done. This is just like the Cryptography/codevreakers race. On always catch up to the other, eventually. Until they come up with quantum computers, then shit hits the fan

Denuvo is a godsend for the industry. All those billions in losses due to piracy will disappear and cause the industry to flourish like never before. We are entering an unprecedented era of intellectual property integrity and social justice. Thieving white pigs will soon be removed from the face of the planet and capitalism will reign supreme and we will all be one race.

Waiting a month or two for a crack is barely a heartbeat in the grand scheme of things.

Publishers get their first few weeks of piracy-free sales, which is all they care about anyway, and the only people who don't get to play the game immediately are the ones who don't think it's good enough to be worth paying for in the first place.

Are you really this retarded? Piracy is not "lost sales" because only 2 kinds of people pirate:

The large portion that pirates everything because fuck it they aren't gonna buy that shit anyway.

And the "try before you buy" crowd who might actually pay money for a pirate copy they enjoy.

Guess what, now the second group will never pay for anything if they can't try it first. Net loss, GG corporate dipshits.

Fun fact: Origin has a return policy that states you can get a full refund of a digital EA game within 24 hours of first launching it, or 7 days if you never launch it. You can buy Cisquisition and try it out for a day to see if it's all the paid off reviewers crack it up to be, then return it if it isn't.
>>
>>272583835
There are reports that it repeatedly encrypts, decrypts, and reencrypts parts of the exe constantly while the game is running. All these read and writes wear out your drive.

There hasn't been any solid proof yet, but it's something to be cautious of. This is Sony DRM we're talking about. It's not to be trusted.

>>272584245

I bought Valkyria Chronicles on release for the same reason.

>>
>>272582578
They all are in their own way which is the joke.

There are four options so to randomly choose 1 of the 4 assuming one is correct is 25%. But 25% is listed twice so the chance would then raise to 50% because you have a 2/4 or 1/2 chance of randomly guessing the right answer. However 50% is listed as it's own option meaning that there is a 25% chance to select it and OP has a 0% chance of not being a faggot

>>272584793
Do people seriously NOT know whether or not they will enjoy a game after looking at it in motion and reading an explanation of the game mechanics?
Don't get me wrong, of course a demo is always better and it IS bullshit that a lot of people don't offer one, but seriously, how can people not get a good enough idea about a game just by looking at gameplay videos?

I was hyped as shit for Asura's Wrath until I saw gameplay videos. I'm not saying it's bad but I knew right away it was not going to be a game I would enjoy.

Plenty of non-professional game reviews are available as well.

It can and was already cracked, the creators of denuvo themselves said the best the drm can do is hold back pirates for a month or two, after that the game will be cracked, at the best only the first month sales will be free of piracy.
>>
dicks
>>
actually its really easy to make an uncrackable game, its just that the systems they use to do it are unfeasible for modern games. the idea is that the ENTIRE game is serverside. so say, even in singleplayer, you must be online, and when you drive and shit, the values of physics and such are generated server side and sent to you. that way, you have no way of actually seeing what algorithim produces what value you receive, at all, and can not be emulated.

for any game in real time, that means everything you do singleplayer would be still effected by ping and lag. even if you retested the same thing a million times, all the dev has to do is add rng to some physics, and then its almost impossible to recreate.

but it makes the game shit, unbearably so. it really only works on turn based games where lag and ping can be sidestepped
>>
>>272587526
The funny thing is the "holding pirates back for a month or two" is only a one time deal. It'll only work for one or two games, because once it gets cracked, all the rest will be cracked within a day just like with every other DRM.
>>
>>272587653
It would work in Korea/Japan with the god-tier speeds they have
>>
>>272587526
Proof or gtfo
>>
>>272587913
eventually itll be feasible, and itll be done. and that day will suck. even singleplayer games will be forced online

the ONLY bonus i can see is that downloads for base game should be small, and all vital calcs and stuff will be kept serverside.

but your internet requirements to be online will massively increase. even for singleplayer

they read it on /v/, instantly believed it and did no investigation in to the matter. like 99% of the other mouthbreathers on here

>EA
>Return policy

I'm pretty sure they'll fuck you over somehow. They're not going to give you your money back after buying a shit game from them. They'd go bankrupt if they did that.
>>
>>272589729
if all they are doing is using a bunch of quasi-marketing jargon, they can literally say anyhting they want
wtf does "performance non-critical game functions" mean anyways?
wtf is a "genuine executable"?
wtf is a "legitimate consumer"?
wtf does "completely transparent" mean?
these are all meaningless jargon with no legal basis whatsoever
>>
>>272590080
what about the SSD thing? was it all a rumor?
>>
>>272589996
except denuvo is completely unintrusive. so stay assblasted nerd
>>
>>272590215
show me definitive proof denuvo destorys your SSD or any other system in your PC

protip : you cant because it doesnt

Yes. It was a lie.

Lets forget piracy for a second. Does denuvo also block shit like cheat engine and mods from being used?

Because not that I do use those things very often, but it would be unacceptable to me for them to be arbitrarily blocked.

why would .ru bros lie?

>Yeah ok guise but assassins creed 2 is uncrackable

does Origin allow modding outside of its own ecosystem?
>>
>>272590528
why would i pose a counter argument to something that is completely false?

show me proof that denuvo obstructs of negatively affects a PCs performance in anyway and then when can talk about them lying

until then shut up and stop believing everything you read on /v/
>>
>>272590680
there are plenty of games on trainers out there with games of denuvo
>>
>>272590680
Pretty much all denuvo does is it is a check that is embedded inside the game that prevents people from editing the exe

If you can't edit the exe, you can create a crack for it unless you emulate the anti tamper
>>
You guy do know they said the same thing about starforce rght?
>>
Guess that means less sales for these companies but more importantly with this, publishers will have that false security and start putting more games on PC.

Win-win if you ask me.
>>
>>272589240

Pretty bland and short. Not enough enemy variation and weapons/armor
>>
There is no such thing as a uncrackable DRM why don't people understand this?
>>
>>272590775
the poster I replied to asked why they would blatantly lie and open themselves up to legal challenges
I replied that everything they said was meaningless, thus couldn't be legally challenged
I made no claim as to whether their DRM does what they say it does, or if they are lying
I only said that pretty much everything they said is so hedged with jargon it is effectively meaningless
This is pretty basic rhetorical analysis

I owe you no proof of the DRM functionality at all
Just as you owe me no proof

but just as you caution me not to believe random shit said on /v/, I caution you not to believe everything you read in a carefully crafted PR statement
>>
>>272589345

There's two times 25% so saying 25% is the correct answer means you have 50% to get it right, etc.

It has no answer. There isn't really a question either. Not sure what the word is in english but I guess paradox would fit? The answer influences "the question".

Denuvo people desperately don't want their shit cracked. It's like they're trying to demoralize people with this or something.
