Replaying Prime 3 right now. This game doesn't even come close to Prime or Prime 2.

I mean the Gamecube was a fucking beast and Metroid Prime is so not only loved for it's gameplay, but for its atmosphere - and graphics are a huge part of atmosphere.

Different chozo have different explanations for their disappearence.

It's clear that the chozo inhabited many worlds and had different culture, they were of course, a super powerful race in distant past.

The Zebes Chozo were killed off by Mother Brain in the manga, who hacked their defense systems and allowed the pirates to kill them off.

SR-388 was either abandoned or the Metroids killed the chozo off, Elysia was abandoned and the population migrated to Talon, where later they became ghosts.

It is, though. Getting your powers back was immensely satisfying in Prime and Prime 2. The best part about Metroidvanias is getting stronger and stronger as you acquire upgrades. Samus begins with all her shit in Prime 3, so there's less of that satisfaction.

Speak for yourself. The motion controls were immersive and tastefully done, I liked them. Maybe they're not as cool anymore because of how overdone motion controls are now but that's not the game's fault. Fighting the hunters and interacting with characters in general was an interesting way to further Samus' character while still keeping her a silent protagonist.

I'll give that the music and atmosphere aren't as good as the other two games, but they're still above average. The main theme still sends a chill down my spine.
