with that much fucking shlong you're shirts gotta be fucked
>>no white rubber on the bottom of his shoes
>>>no rosey cheeks
Combined with him getting taller and proportionately smaller-headed, I think he's supposed to be growing up in Smash with each iteration or something.
Open your damn eyes once and a while shit.
I needed it pointed out to me, too. I figured it was a reference to some baseball team like his bumblebee outfit.
>Fuel is a Ness alt
Get fucked, Lucasfags
Yet, Sony games are still cheaper, for some reason.
Remember the Great Lucas Scare of Japan Time?
Is he the only Mother 3 reference existent within the game? Kind of weird how they wouldn't emphasize the handheld Mother instalment on the handheld-exclusive version of Smash.
Probably because it was never released out of Japan, I'd suppose. Whereas Earthbound is available everywhere now. (Though I do recognise Marth and Roy were in Melee before a Fire Emblem game was released in the west, so I' probably wrong.
I feel a lot stupid for liking Brawl's artstyle back in the Japan time days. I mean, it looked more detailed than Melee and all but after I realized it was too "realistic" for a game like Smash.
My problem was that the detail worked for certain characters (Ike, Samus, Snake) but looked like shit on characters who were supposed to be cartoony (Mario, Toon Link, and pretty much everyone else).
They seem to have found a good balance this time around, though
>Lucas will never get an amiibo
I'm glad Ness is still around and he's more fun to play than ever, but I'd be lying if the loss of my Brawl main didn't leave me feeling a bit empty
Do not sexualize the Ness
>The Mother trilogy will never be remade into 3d with everyone and everything looking like Itoi's clay figures of them.
>Ness will never get his instant, auto-cancel d-air spike from 64 ever again
Remember all the anons getting mad as fuck over getting rekt by Ness online and calling him cheap.
They got off easy.
I fucking hate Lucas thanks to my buddy.
>nonstop PK THUNDAR, PK FIRAR, PK FREEEEEEEEZE, PK THUNDAR, PK FIRAR
>call him out for being a spamming faggot
>Don't even talk, you eye juggling me the entire match. "
He now mains Charizard and spams his Fire and Spin Attack move. He makes me so fucking mad.
I'm still able to kick his spamming ass though which makes me feel great.
you should never have had any kind of problem with a special-happy Lucas. All of them are very easily punishable if you just throw them out willy-nilly, which is what the term "spamming" would imply.
I don't see why you'd hate a character that's easy to beat, so you did have some problems, right?
Charizard's flamethrower sucks ass. What spin attack? Fly? Flare blitz?
Don't talk shit about my pink socks, man. I will concede that Fuel Ness is second-best, though, with Bumblebee Ness not far behind.
Is that a poster of the sky where a window should be?
He's aight, but Belch Ness is the best Ness.
>tfw no belch ness pic
Step up your game man.
I always played good with Ness and everyone hated me.
Most based Ness
>be a lucas main
>had this one friend in particular who loves to play marth
>would always complain when I 'spammed' pk fire and thunder
Some people just dont get it man. Lucas and Ness are great all around and when your opponent is not in close to you, you'd be a fool not to use pk thunder and/or fire.
i hate how smash 4 has more simplistic shittier graphics than brawl.
its like 1 steps forward 2 step back with graphics
Captain Falcon looks really Asian in this as well.
Which is weird because he is based on Dredd who is a parody of America and i think the voice actor tried to sounds as American as possible.
I think the clean look with bright colours works a lot better for most of the cast. Characters like Mario just looked weird with the grittier colour palette.
I'd like to see the next Smash Bros go for a cell-shaded aesthetic with pitch-black inky shadows and bright, eye catching colours like 90s comic books or Redline.
I knew I wasn't the only one who saw parallels between Falcon/Dredd's original outfits and their later outfits. Was there anything from artists that ever said it was intentional? I couldn't ever find anything concrete on that.
His SNES design is so much a blatant rip of Dredd there's absolutely no way it's not intentional. His 64/Current look makes the connection slightly less apparent, but the visual design is still really close.
Well the shoulder pauldrons and helmets got a bit bigger with eachother, though not in the same shape.
I just wonder if an artist at Nintendo read 2000 AD somehow or watched the Stallone movie once or twice and liked the look and did some research to find his original look since at first Falcon matched that more closely.
Wasn't captain falcon supposed to be a mascot character for the SNES before Nintendo decided to stick with Mario?
Could you imagine a Captain Falcon game? What would it have played like?
I always find that type of argument foolish when used against Mario. The Smash 4 representation of Mario even on the 3DS version fits him so much better than the Melee and Brawl.
Star Fox was heavily inspired by Thunderbirds, and I believe that the character designer for Star Fox and F-Zero are the same, so maybe the guy is a huge fan of british media?
No? Mario's been Nintendo's mascot since Mario Bros on arcade. Not to mention SMB being a thing long before F-Zero.
F-Zero, with some sidescrolling bounty hunting segments.
He looks much better in Smash 4, I just wish he'd have more happy/lighthearted facial expressions.
I don't think he looks edgy or anything, he just looks weird with so many angry/determined faces/ It looks like angry kirby in terms of silliness.
It says on Wikipedia that Miyamoto was apparently a fan of English puppet dramas like Thunderbirds, so he actually made a few for the cover of Star Fox. I still think there has to be some kind of inspiration from Dredd for Captain Falcon, even if it's very minor. The fact that their outfits had similar changes over time is what really makes me want to find something on it. Not that it's really important, it'd just be neat to know for sure.
You don't kill animals. You make them tame.
Who /belchbros/ here?
Lookin' fly while the women drip honey
Ness is perfect no matter what he wears/doesn't wear.
Japanese Magicant Ness
>there are people out there who thought brawl's realistic milk-aging textures looked better than Sm4sh's
