Not necessarily true. I wanted a job as a NEET not only because money, but because I needed something to kick my ass and force me to something, even if it is simple shit like wage slaving.

Nope. I was NEET in parents basement and I wanted a job because I needed to absolve myself of the crushing guilt of being a failure and a burden.

I got my shit together and it feels good.

To be fair i cost my dad less than 90€ per months, counting food electricity water and internet ( he wouldn't have internet if not for me ).
And i do enough chores around the house and land to be an honorary maid/gardener ( though it's not really chores because that's my house too ).

>hard work
Work isn't even about "work". It's about submission. At "work", you never actually do anything useful to anybody or contribute to any kind of projects or do anything genuinely meaningful in some way, that's why it's based on the 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week model.

The concept was originally that someone needs something done, so they pay people to do that thing; a mutual agreement to which both parties benefit. Makes sense.

Now it's just a bunch of rich people who feel the need to control others. Nothing is actually being accomplished 90% of the time when you're "working". Realistically you could go to work and do everything that you needed to do that day in about 20 minutes or so, but they need you to stay there for 8 hours so you can be bored. It makes them feel good about themselves.

They aren't paying you to work, they're paying you to be their slave.

And then people wonder why not everybody is interested in this concept and would rather just play video games.
>>
>>268228235
Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.
>>
In the olden days, a person who could afford to not work was called a man of leisure. NEET is just a derogatory label used by jelly wage slaves and jews who want to exploit your labor. Don't be a corporate puppet, become a NEET today.

>>
>>268228941
I worked in the mine for a while, made a shitload of money and then quit.

Sometimes I would literally stay up all night playing video games and we'd get our work done in 20 minutes and then all the people on our crew would just go hide somewhere and sleep for 7 hours then go home.

That's how fucking worthless it is. I don't care about money, I want to feel like I did something.

You can do everything worth doing with the internet.

Yeah right. Travelling is so fucking expensive. Everything seems fucking marked up to hell in different locations. I went to San Francisco a few years ago for 4 days to learn about the city, see some of the historical sights, and go to a weeaboo fair and the hotel, restaurants, parking costed me well over $2000. Its a fucking waste of money. With that perspective, buying a $60 video game that lasts 20-30 hours(more if its multiplayer or grindy) is a way better deal.

>Said issues are still a major hindrance when it comes to finding work
>Effectively in a limbo state where I'm too messed up to find work, but not messed up enough to live off the government

Such is life of someone who can't figure out what the fuck to do with himself and spends his days inside accomplishing nothing and working towards nothing.

I'm 29

What the fuck are you even reading?

Why would I feel bad about having freetime?
>>
>do computer security stuff
>have some amount of downtime
>work in top secret buildings
>no personal electronics

Its depressing, I could clear so much back log
>>
>>268232173
Holy shit. Imagine if people literally had to do an interview to be neet and it was considered one of the most prestigious and sought after jobs in the country
>>
>>268232143
that was the job i had for a year. i can't do that again, i almost killed myself working at a factory, there was this bridge on the way to work i walked by everyday, and everyday the urge to jump off it got stronger and stronger. i quit when i found myself staring off it for 10 minutes. everyone there was depressed, on drugs, or old and lost in life, a fucking hell hole. i promised myself i would NEVER work in a factory again.
>>
>>268232196
Having an interest is the key to solving all these things.

Some days while being NEET I'd stay literally 15 hours in bed because I didn't see the point of getting up.
>>
>>268232272
I know that feel, bro. I know it well. Stay strong, you can overcome.
>>
>>268228796
This probably rings true for most jobs.

There are a lot of jobs that aren't like this though. Builders for example need to work usually longer than 8 hours a day to get shit done.
>>
>>268232394
I wish there was a decent bridge around where I live. All the good ones have these nets and fences because too many people jumped off them.
>>
>>268231093

Come on m8 you can do it

Anon it's not that people are expected or forced to work, it's you have to give something to get something.

You want to go innawoods? Nothing is stopping you (there's pesky goverment and land bullshit but there's enough woods out there for you to go innawoods if you really wanted). Becoming self sufficient is a perfectly viable life choice.

You want to stay with the rest of civilization and use resources and goods people worked to produce? You have to give them something. You don't even have to get into "societal leaches" philosophy, the reason behind it is because nobody will give you that stuff they worked for/on for free. It technically doesn't *have* to be money and you don't *have* to work for that money but you need something and working for money is the simplest root.

Sure I guess a magical eutopia where literally nobody on earth has to work for anything because robots would be nice but on the other hand fuck no you're an idiot for even thinking that.

>bust ass at 3 min wage jobs
>finally save up enough money for college
>have no idea what i want to do
>pick a degree that has courses that sound interesting
>its some bullshit college specific arts/technology/english degree
>graduate
>back to working 3 min wage jobs

unless you have a plan, just keep on NEETing on. hard work and degrees don't just magically make things better. the working world was never meant to be enjoyed. anything you think is fun or interesting is worthless.

I'm not convinced I can do anything

Enjoy your shit life, neets.

Have fun doing nothing but playing video games while everyone else is trying to achieve their dreams and live life to the fullest.

Eventually you'll die (probably a virgin and soon after your parents death) and no one will mourn you, nor remember you. Why even live?

inb4 fucking faggots respond with :
>muh autism
>muh low self esteem
>muh PTSD
>>
>some anon weeks back showed his bank shit, making 400 bucks a week at home saying he like "stole and altered articles for niche things" and to go to "blackhatworld".

having browsed that forum for like, two weeks now, i have no idea how these fucking people make money still, and it seems like everyone fails

>wah im crying
>wah stop hurting my feelings

Look I know I can just insult you and be done with it, but do get better, okay?

Anyone in NEET recovery?
The ones without serious mental illnesses/traumas please. My mental state isn't fucked and I wasn't abused that much. I need some success story here in this thread of despair.
>>
>>268232752
Everybody dies. Why even live?
>>
>be NEET
>be 21
>parents yell at me everyday to get a job
>get a job
>don't like job
>keep going to work everyday even though i don't like it
What do? Why do my parents insist on me being miserable?
>>
>>268232772
I'm trying, but I feel like if I see a doctor about it they'll just think I'm trying to get anti-anxiety meds or some shit.

Thanks a lot drug addicts
>>
>>268231093
I can't talk to people at all for whatever reason but after working a year and a half at where I am I finally started saying hi to people.
Just tough it out, everything will be fine.
>>
>>268232752
Who didn't love you, Anon?
Who hurt you?
>>
>>268231017
IT'LL BE LIKE YOUR OWN POKEMON ADVENTURE.
>>
>>268232752
im alright with this
some people like to play games, some people dont like them

so I have to ask you, what are you doing on a videogames board if playing games is so worthless for you?
>>
>>268232752
>else is trying to achieve their dreams and live life to the fullest.

most people fail. in fact i'd say 95% of the people who do this fail
>>
>>268232674
>pick a degree that has courses that sound interesting
Well there's your mistake

No one will remember you either unless you become a leader of people.
There's also no point in doing most things since fuck life.
