What makes PCGamer great is their objectivity and zero-bullshit policy. They don't go on about sexism or whatever in video games, they just review how fun it is to play the game. They never go into irrelevant gaming "culture" topics or e-celeb e-drama, they just report the news that's relevant to PC gamers. They never publish serious clickbait, there's the occasional "our top 17 best games featuring dogs!" article, but these are rare and very easy to avoid.

Too bad the new website design is ugly as fuck, but at least the RSS feeds remain untouched.

PCG is one of the last gaming paper magazines. People actually subscribe to it and pay them money and in return receive a physical magazine to their homes every month. Most articles on PCG's website are just articles they published on the previous issue. Since they write to an actual audience on an real journalistic platform they hold themselves up to journalistic standards.
I really wish more people would read PCG. It's one of the best gaming websites out there, period. Especially for consoleless games like me, since they automatically filter out all the peasant shit and release PC-oriented content you rarely find on other gaming sites (shit like hardware reviews and mod spotlights). They're also not plebs and actually talk about strategy games and Dwarf Fortress.
