Literally just wipeout on PC with different name
from the same devs
some look more tradional wipeout
I guess its pre-production but I still agree with >>267878626
The company identities in Wipeout and how they dictated the appearance of the vehicles in the game is one of the things that really made it special
I loved Assegai so much in HD/Fury, it looked and felt so agile
Aside from that though, I'm pretty excited to hear that this is a thing to begin with. It might not be Wipeout but its something close at least, and with some of the old guys in it. I thought Wipeout was completely ded after Studio Liverpool was merged with Guerrilla Games.
Wipeout was always unique in its approach to speed, the gap between accelaration and top speed was ridiculously big. The idea was to gain momentum by using speed pads and items available over maybe the first lap, then when you finally hit the top speed its about defending that momentum from other racers trying to take you down with items.
I often found myself getting to the point, after a couple of hours playing, where everything I did felt so subconscious because I was managing to play a race to almost perfection, without losing speed once. Not sure if that was a very good explanation but I guess what I'm trying to say is that Wipeout can be a little slow sometimes, but often its very, very fast.
they've come up with brands like in wipeout.
The red rock one looks like a turd though, even the TM looks like a fly buzzing around it
Hopefully these brands and these concepts >>267878764 >>267879050 will be more informative of the final game and maybe whats shown in OPs video are just placeholder models that were made just for initial reveal.
I want to get hype but I've never been hype for a game in pre-production before.
black version of
really hope there'll be a livery editor
When I bought a DS, I though we were going to have a Fzero on it.
>no. 3 on global leaderboards
Cautiously optimistic. We need another trailer. Hopefully won't go down the F-zero route of valuing speed over complex tracks.
Also the PC version had better not be capped at 60fps.
