HP should only be related to the size and has no reason to be higher than a few thousand HP.

Numbers with more than two digits are ugly and annoying to look at. Only the first two digits matter so the rest of the number is fucking spam and that's why damage should never be over 99 and thus HP should never be more than a few thousand at most and should stay around 100 for most enemies.

Game devs will never make games right because they simply fail to reason why anything should be done a certain way.

But I can't really blame them because what's really going on here is that they're catering to the MUH BIG EUPHORIC NUMBERS autistic children/manchildren that love this shit.

This. Players are more likely to talk about how ridiculous your game is with a boss of 99,999 HP than another game where the final boss had like 500 HP.

GRANTED, 500 HP could have been a very interesting, well made, paced and balanced game, but while it will be appreciated it will not be discussed because conversations usually focus around things people find genuinely odd and wish to share with others not things they all agree on or find acceptable. For example these very threads are example how doing something odd or annoying is more likely to result in people persistently bringing up the matter repeatedly than just staying in the lines.
