You are controlling a human character that flies around shooting, where you control the NPC, and the reticule, can do an invincibility dodge roll, shots are relatively infrequent as most of the screen opts for more enemies, being able to run along the ground, and yes, switching between melee/shooting.

I'd much prefer this to be another S&P, and have a rep from that series playable.

If Dark Pit really does have a completely unique moveset then it'll be extra gross. We've known for a while that Sakurai is big into nepotism, but this is taking it a little far.
He could have at least chosen a good character to cram in.

Very much so. The Control scheme is extremely awkward to begin with, but once you figure it out it's one of the best games on the system; thought the constant dialogue will likely be love it or hate it

What is supposed to be difficult about using a trigger button as a trigger, a control pad for controlling your movement, and a touch screen for aiming? It's the same control Metroid Prime Hunters used and people loved that shit and some people still want a sequel in metroid threads.

All my complaints have always been in how the 3DS is built in terms of where the circle pad is slightly too high up but even that's not anywhere near "awkward" or "difficult", it's just physically strenuous when you support the system with one hand and are pushing down on it with the other hand.

The japs didn't even get a stand thing, they figured out you don't need to grip the entirety of the stylus with your fist and can use both of your hands to support the system instead.

Well, I never had that much of an effort myself, I've always preferred heavier controller on consoles, most likely due to all the N64 GB Adaptor nonsense; but I always see people talking about the control scheme, so it only feels fair to mention it when recommending the game
