Yes, but it's a solitary, private one. Lots of practical, intellectual and cultural pursuits (engineering, art, music, etc.) to keep her mind sharp as well as physical training. She keeps an eye on space pirate activity at all time and moves in if they attack any civilian colonies. She's often much quicker than the GFeds.

Top security officer. Has his own custom-made warship, basically has the authority to order any combat-caste Space Pirate. Answers directly to high command.

All dead or ascended. A small colony may still be out there somewhere, if the hint in Skytown is any indication.

Is the last Metroid in captivity? Is the galaxy at peace?!
Until they release Metroid VI and reveal that someone was cloning more some-buttfucking-where, because that plot hasn't gotten tired at all yet.

Oh damn. Well i'm trying to play a bunch of old Nintendo games to get hyped for Smash Bros and right now my choices are

>Kid Icarus (tried it, got to the 4th level and it's hard)
>The Legend of Zelda (did the first dungeon, still kinda hard and i'm lost)
>Metroid (hard and i'm lost, looking at a map doesn't even help that much)
>Fire Emblem (haven't tried yet)

I played Punch-Out!! but couldn't beat Tyson, but i'll say I finished the game anyway for my own health

Being a mercenary and hunting space pirates is probably most of her life. Samus is likely mentally insane to some degree. She saw everyone she knew slaughtered, was raised by aliens to be a solitary warrior, went into the military, was discharged from the military, and then found her alien family slaughtered by the same people.

The Chozo didn't raise Samus JUST to be a warrior. They really did care about her, so they probably tried to treat her like a daughter and make sure she was happy growing up, in their own weird monastic bird hippy way.

If for no other reason than it's practical to make sure your warrior destined to protect the galaxy is a well-adjusted person.

That sounds really cool actually. After coming back from Fusion, the Federation tries to arrest her for war crimes, terrorism, and treason against the federation because she disobeyed orders to let the Federation handle the X and blowing up SR-388. After escaping, she hears from a GFed buddy that the Federation will do anything and everything to capture her for the Metroid blood in her body. Seeing no redeeming light in the federation because they tried to pull this shit 2 times and want to try for a third, Samus heads to the tattered remains of the Space Pirate homeworld. They are on-guard to fight, but when she walks out in a manor and body language that says "I'm not here to fight, but make a move and I will kill you", they take her to their current leader (someone other than Ridley, Kraid, or Mother Brain). They negotiate the terms of their mutual partnership after she explains to them that once she goes, they are next. They begin to upgrade Samus's suit and Samus provides the Pirates with a few pieces of information about Chozo tech. During this time, they both know that they are going to try to stab each other in the back, it's only a matter of time when. Also, during this time Adam.cpu is warning her not to underestimate the Pirates.

That's just the shell of an opening that could very easily be reworked, revised, and expanded upon.

No. She wasn't in the human federation's army. Has met other humans and deals with them, but doesn't really belong. Bird philosophies n such.
Ridley is something the pirates dug up on some desolate world and started revering as pseudo deity.
Ancient evil destroyed the Chozo. Some few might still exist somewhere, kinda like the Luminoth.

My headcanon is that Samus is only attracted to men like her dads

Basically, I'm saying she only has eyes for gay birds and will never get laid.
