Tourney going on, shirtless man too good for stream
I honestly don't get why anyone would play Ness in PM over Lucas unless except loyalty to their old main
Maybe they can't into fast fallers or something
Lucas is pretty much better in every way though
I honestly think they're pretty even, it's just that no one has taken Ness to the same level as Neon's Lucas. They both have great recoveries, kill setups and throws, and insane punish games. Ness lacks the tech heavy pressure that Lucas has, but I think PK fire being an effectively unblockable projectile easily makes up for it. Ness is also floatier than Lucas, so he doesn't get comboed as easily.
>Implying DFW isn't the strongest P:M region in the world
#1 and #3 ranked players in DFW both placed top 8 at Apex, #2 likely would've also placed top 8 and #'s 4 and 5 also frequently take sets sets off the top 3
>Playing smash with 12 year olds
>Playing competitive smash
>Playing smash at all
Ruining friendships all over the world thanks Nintendo and thanks to all the fedora wearing cock suckers who ruined this game even just playing it for fun like it was meant to. I hope your proud of yourselves eat shit and die.
>better pressure than fox
>more guaranteed shit than sheik
>better recovery than both
It's more than that, PMBR are clearly anti-melee and deliberately go out on their way each and every patch to shit on whoever is still foolish to play melee toptiers in PM
Diddy isn't as good as people claim he is. Once you get over the banana game he's balanced on stage. His recovery is stupid good though. Expect people drop him specifically once they nerf his recovery.
Sheik can't combo Fox until he's out of CC percent
Falcon's combos are far from guaranteed
Armada makes it look easy but Peach combos are far from guaranteed, Armada is just that good
Same thing with Hbox and Jiggly
and that's just the top 8, each with their own weaknesses and such
Then you ban FD against marth, that's what your ban is for.
Also since it's PM everything is easier so anyone can do a 80% combo on fast fallers now, watch melee and see how often that happens and how hard they have to work for their combos
Word most melee players can admit that melee is relatively balanced at the top 8-10 characters or so. After that though the other characters are literal after thoughts from development(G&W is literally an incomplete character in melee).
Go replicate that right now if you're so good at it. If you followed melee at all, M2K is literally the only marth who does this reliably and he fails to 0-death half the time against good players. Watch his sets with Hax and you'll see.
Even in that WebM, he had to react to PP's tech roll to get the grab in the first place, and he would've ate a falco combo out of getup-shine if M2K was a few frames too late. Plus he was guaranteed the ledge at 78% so it wasn't even a 0-death.
Meanwhile in PM-land almost every character can do this on almost every stage to spacies.
Nigga it's literally just up throws and up tilts and an f smash. It's really really really easy against your average player.
You have to have godlike DI/SDI to get out of it.
>Meanwhile in PM-land almost every character can do this on almost every stage to spacies.
The utilts and fsmash are fairly basic, but what that webm doesn't show is what M2K would have done if PP hadn't suicided. PP killing himself is a testament to M2K's skill. Also the leadup into that combo is something that your average player would definitely not be able to do.
Then why don't you see average marths 0-death spacies on FD all the time? Because it's not as easy as you think.
and spacies' fragility in PM is well known, I shouldn't have to prove it because it's a well known fact at this point. Admittedly not every character has 0-deaths, I exaggerated there and I was wrong, but I would say that most PM characters that are relevant right now in the PM meta has 0-deaths on spacies on par with Marth on FD
>>Then why don't you see average marths 0-death spacies on FD all the time?
Because I never watch average people play.
>and spacies' fragility in PM is well known
Oh, you mean just like in melee?
Melee matches are so much quicker because the most common characters are all fast fallers, it's rare to see a melee match that doesn't have atleast one fast faller.
Fast fallers fall faster, this is a good thing in that it allows you to shorthop aerials faster for more pressure, which basically leads you to doing everything quicker.
But their downside is that they get comboed easier, and being a fast faller makes your recovery worse.
Lots of damage + can't take damage well + can't recovery well = fast paced game.
I don't even know why I'm arguing this, it's basic shit everyone knows.
And you have yet to prove how. Shit, if you are the guy way earlier in the thread you mentioned lots of anti spacie tech.
But never even gave any examples. The closest thing I can think of it, basically sonics free as shit edgeguard vs spacies.
