I would not even consider brawl a game but a consumer experience with highly regulated Nerf bats

The fact that the trophy collection is supposed to be absolutely massive between both games is probably my favourite news so far. Even though I really do care about the mechanical aspects of the game, it's the amount of content I'm most excited for. It's why I liked Brawl more than people say I should: The amount of content made it totally worthwhile. I don't care about having the roster for Smash 4 spoiled as it'll just get me more hyped, I'm just hoping to keep info on stuff like music, trophies, and other Nintendo references intact for when I discover them.

When I heard Miis were in, I was hoping for a moveset based on games they starred in, like Tomodachi Life, the Streetpass games, the Wii series, etc. and have the customizeability be aesthetic (And maybe do a height/weight thing like in MKWii). What they did was even cooler, and I'm glad little references like the Mii Force ship made it in too.

I liked the event matches. Some of them were really creative.

The fact that every existing stage has a Final Destination variation makes me extremely giddy.

My strategy is entirely forward smash, up smash, neutral combo, down air, Eruption.
Aether and Quick Draw when I need to recover.

Eruption is probably the unsung hero of Ike's moveset for me. It might not work to well in 1v1, but it's fucking amazing in four-way or 2v2 matches. It's the only non-final smash one-hit K.O. move in the game.

Pichu is part of a package of 5 or so other clones that were rushed in to pad out the roster. Pichu was also basically meant to be the rep for the second generation of Pokemon, so having a comically weak clone for its rep is a bit insulting.

I love Brawl's Smashville on Saturdays, rocking it to K.K. Cruisin', four players and smacking down with Samus or Peach. I wondered if there was ever going to be a reason to come back to Brawl, and after seeing the new Town and City, I guess I found my reason. It's a little thing, but switching between the two areas in the new map kind of retracts from the calmness that Smashville had, and the abundance of platforms just makes it look like a shitty 2 stop Delfino or something. Darn it, Sakurai.

I'm usually in the friendly smash party scenes than actual torneys.

Every night is a great night when one of these are performed
