I remember reading a bunch of the experiments with him, a number of which were starting to get into the 'if you look at this statue then look away you just fucking die on the spot' SCPs, and half of them either result in 682 screaming in pain or something when it's supposed to kill him, and the statue turns up 20 metres away as if it's scared of him. Hell, 096 (the white humanoid thing that kills anyone who even sees a photo of its face) was cowering in the corner after something horrifying enough to be [DATA EXPUNGED] happened between them.
I also read a long story involving one of the self-insert scientists, where they attempted some insane reality-bending shit inside 682s mind(?), and it still didn't work.
I'm pretty sure this thing is the equivalent of a a young Elder God.

At the moment, there are a number of proposals (each named '[username]'s Proposal') for the SCP numbers 000 and 001. One of them is a non-Euclidean facility that itself is used to house and contain a huge number of Keter class SCPs, by housing two that counteract each other in each chamber. One of the artifacts in there is a book that originally detailed the history of an extinct civilisation in Mongolia or something. The problem with it is that whenever a liquid capable of writing text is brought near it, it adds more onto the end and actually changes history. If they let it go further, it could easily rewrite current society, seeing as it keeps making objects appear in places already excavated. If allowed, it could effectively create a new universe.
In the facility, due to the weird spacetime fuckery, its effects are not realised onto the world. The nature of its confinement means it is constantly absorbing ink from a different SCP, extending the history of the civilisation far into our future. If taken out of the facility, it would rewrite the universe.
One of the contingency plans for end-of-the-world scenarios is to do so, and hope that the new universe wouldn't be so shit.
Therefore, SCP-682 can actually be destroyed, but it would rewrite everything else in existence at the same time.
