It was a bunch of tanks that turned into a dragon.
I remember when Legend of blue eyes released and we just played with 2000 lf and no direct attacks.

The nastiest deck I ever saw was back in high school, some guy had these cyber blue eyes and he'd summon their ultra form which let him remove all machines from his deck. By doing this all their respective atk power was trasnfered over to this huge fucking dragon with trample.
so he'd always hit you for 12-15 thousand.

Not that guy, but I think pendulum summoning has far more potential to be insanely broken with the right or two. Mainly because the Pendulum mechanic itself adds a completely new layer to the game instead of just adding in more options like Synchros and XYZs. They even had to change the game layout just to accommodate it. It's only a matter of time until they release something crazy, and people find a way to abuse the shit out of it. I can see it getting to the point where people NOT playing Pendulum staples won't be able to keep up.

The only time Synchro Summoning was entirely irrelevant in the meta was really early on in the Xyz era, and right now literally every type of summon is relevant other than Rituals, which weren't even relevant during their own time because of the mechanic being inherently shit.

You don't seem to understand what I mean about certain mechanics being objectively better than others. Pendulums are inherently worse because they make you vomit out your hand, and require a certain playstyle to function properly, aka spending turns putting shit in your Extra Deck, while Xyz Summoning just requires you to have 2 monsters of the same Level. Fusions are a shitty mechanic because they require very specific names most of the time, and to get around it they need themed Fusion Spells. They were only relevant during the HERO era because of this, and were completley shit outside of Metamorph when they were introduced. Synchros are a good mechanic because Tuner + non-Tuner is alot easier to meet than specific names + Fusion Spell, but still not as flexible as Xyz Summoning because of having to run Tuners in the first place. They're still a better mechanic than Pendulums though, since Pendulums require you to first setup your Pendulum Zones AND your Extra Deck to actually generate advantage.

/v/ is worse than /tg/ at YGO.

With all the disruption that exist, there aren't alot of situations where vomitting it without a good amount of setup is a good idea. The "perfect" hand for vomitting out your shit would be 2 Pendulums of the correct scales ( which is already situational ) and 4 monsters ( which is even more situational with normal monster/ST ratios ) who are all levels that are in-between the scales ( do you see where I'm getting at ) which will in total net you 2 Xyz/Synchro monsters, and this entire play is vunerable as fuck and can be stopped incredibly easily without the proper setup.
