Yoshi IMO is a pretty good character. Hard to use and definitely has downsides, but if you become a true wizard with egg-throwing, that shit racks damage up and catches people off guard all the time. Notice though, characters that have weird air characteristics he struggles with. It's not unconditional at all. The winner selects character first, then the loser can pick the character he bests thinks counters that character. It's an advantage for the loser.

Take Armada vs Hungrybox for example. Armada picks Young Link because it counters Jigglypuff, then Hbox picks Fox because it counters Young Link. If Armada picks Peach, Hbox would pick Jiggly, so Armada is essentially locked to an inferior character.

honestly, depending on how he plays I think Leffen is the one with the best odds *regardless of bracket.* Axe and Amsa both have bad shots at Armada but Leffen has demonstrated he can win that player matchup. If he plays sharp and brutal he might be able to catch Mango off guard, and if he plays cautiously he won't get gimped by M2K. He's demonstrated he can beat PPMD and HBox so that requires a repeat performance.

If Axe matches up against Mango, Hbox, and PPMD he has okay odds but he still has no guarantees against a lower level player pool.

Amsa... I don't think he's *personally* at a level to beat the top 5 for real. He has issues with mixups in neutral and sometimes he becomes too dedicated to his tricks rather than simple play. you see it when he's fishing for parries and the other guy slowly attacks his position to mess up his timing, when he could just WD back into f-smash or d-tilt or something as a basic mixup.

plus he needs to be a bit ballsier with egg-lay, I think, and it would earn him more mileage with his other aerials, force more rolls and dodges, stuff like that. beyond not choking, that's what it will take for him to have a shot, but IDK if he's suddenly going to realize all that by this weekend.

For victory.... i'm one of those bitches who says "it can go either way." if I had to numerate it, currently I'm putting it at odds of something like 50/35/15 with Mango, Armada, PPMD.
