I have an i5 3570k at 4.5GHz and I get a solid 60FPS with DPS LLE, so perfect emulation. That's with maxed out resolution and antialiasing settings too. If your processor isn't as strong, you'll have to settle with HLE audio which sucks varying lengths of horse cock

Samurai Goroh is the easiest stage as long as you know how to take advantage of the AI rubberbanding. Just keep pace with him and don't boost until the final stretch. Otherwise he'll catch up to you no matter how fast you've been going and by that time you'll be out of energy.

I'm sure they might want to put in the track background animations and attack mechanics, so that potentially could add to processing. Also they have to process just how FAST guys are going. Races could go down to the wire and lag even just a second off could seriously screw up the results of a race. Imagine being two seconds from a tight banking turn at top speed and lag hindered your response by ONE of those precious seconds.

I know enough to know that I unlocked the AX cup and a few of the AX characters in story mode. Chapter 2, 5, and 6 at least. That was several years ago and I played the game so much the disc got run down and broke. Still my favorite racing game, and I would be ecstatic for a sequel with online 30-player races with the exact technical mechanics of GX. Of course, that can only be done with the pressure sensitive controllers of the gamecube controller, so the adapter gives me hope.

That being said, I would be MORE than happy to settle with a release on the e-shop for GX with compatibility with the gamecube controller. That way I can play with other people on campus and work my way through story mode and unlock the AX cup once again!

I can say I am one of the proud few who managed to beat every story chapter on very hard difficulty and finished every cup on it's hardest difficulty as well (master difficulty? i forget)

But it wasn't easy, in fact I can probably say it was the hardest game I have ever "100%" not counting staff ghosts cause I always thought snaking was bullshit and it was frankly the only way to beat them.

Easiest mission that I beat within a handful of tries on very hard was the mission with the bomb on the hood of your car.
Hardest was the speed tunnel with the timer. I actually FINALLY beat it at 0:00 time remaining because there is a delay between 0:00 and when you lose, like maybe one full second and I reached it during that period.
The only mission I ever used a FAQ for was the very first mission on very hard, apparently the only way you can complete that chapter on very hard is by getting the things in the road in an incredibly ordered manner.

I also used an action replay and got some extra parts that cannot be unlocked in game (though they are kinda "meh" anyways).

My ship of choice was a custom ship called the Tornado Crab RR. used the barrel cockpit, I think the crab body and this big single thruster engine. It weighed 1800kg exactly which was the absolute border into heavyweight class. It fit my style of play perfectly and that was the ship I used to win every grand prix on every difficulty.

BUT HO HO HO THIS TIME HE'S MEGA-COCK, THE FASTEST FAGGOT IN THE WORLD. 1.21 GIGAWATTS MARTY, LET'S GO BACK TO THE FUCKING FUTURE.

The staff ghosts are legitmately the hardest part of GX assuming you don't do some ATs to cheese through them.

I still haven't beaten Sonic Oval and Twist Road's staff ghosts. I'd rather try and beat all Very Hard chapters in a row in a single time.

It's a really fucking good racing game for the GC. The story mode is ass-rape brutal on hard, there's insane driving physics when you learn to abuse some features.

So while I like the idea of Rick/Ryu taking the Blue Falcon seat in whatever future game, I don't know how the western audience will feel about missing the english release of the rest of the anime that would segway to the new "Cpt Falcon", unless of course they simply don't care as the typical American do. Also, would they just call him Rick or Ryu in fuuture releases? A lot of decisions could change if Nintendo overlooks things.

And let me finish by saying maybe we're all over-anticipating this all. Chances are the new Smash Falcon wil just be yet another re-iteration of his F-Zero X uniform, and it will unfortunately just feel samey, as if once again Nintendo is ignoring the Captains changes since X.

Anyway, I'm pretty partial to Meteor Stream, Thunder Road, Multiplex, Cylinder Wave, Trident, Dragon Slope, and Ordeal. There's a lot more than those, the game had a lot of great courses.

Fuck Slim Line Slits though. Great track but fuck it.
