Try out the Alpha account, you can play for free with limitations for racial ships(can only use the empire specific ships you pick for your chars empire), and a mixed variety of T2 modules and *some* T2 ships, but only ships up to cruisers
You can do a decent amount though for free and should be able to determine if you want to upgrade to Omega

I have amazing idea for games to do that will make everyone happy.
A lot of casual fagatonies hate non-linear maps--while us grim fandangoists love a good non-linear map.
Anyway, make non linear maps, but create an algorithm that senses you are lost and have been stuck in the same area for a set amount of time before progressing--which will then trigger slight tilting in the camera angle to the direction you should be heading to in order to progress the game.
EA, bethesda, Nintendo will definitely steal this idea--screenshot this.

I am not really into mmo games but this seems more open world sandbox rather than the linear progression style of other games. ESO never interested me because the combat looked terrible but Black Desert looks much more fun. How is the grind and learning curve though?

Learning curve is steep, they don't fully explain alot, but there are some good youtube guides out there.
Combat is enjoyable but the enemies are pretty braindead until you get to ~50+ and start facing elites and doing the boss summons.
