How does FF13 compare to 10? I've been considering playing it but it just looks so bland, and all the characters seem so boring based on what I've seen of them. I enjoyed 10 quite a bit, is it even close to as good?

13 is pretty bad. Not as bad as the jokes but it isn't worth your time. Lightning Returns is apparently okay so look into that if you really want to.

Personally didn't care for the characters or the combat. It's kind of similar to X's combat, except replace swapping characters with changing classes and then put everything on cruise control.
