Gonna try and learn Distant Worlds. Any tips?

I'm giving you a bump and I expect you to tell me about this game in return. Never heard of it, just liked the pic.

I guess it's a mid-point in terms of autism between Stellaris and Aurora. Crazy depth and possibilities. The interface is pretty dogshit though. You can automate almost anything but that's not really fun
Are Half-Life: Opposing Force and Half-Life: Blue Shift worth playing?
Why did people complain about the way the narrative is done in HL games (no cutscenes, you always watch the world from the characters point of view and only know what happens around you and nowhere else)? It's the most natural and immersive.
What other shooters, whether FPS or TPS, are as good as HL series?
Is it possible for a single person or a small group of people to create a game similar to Half Life or Dude Sex in a reasonable amount of time at minimal cost (read, pizza and coffe, strictly free software and no or very little outsourcing)?
Are there games where rain/sun/sound/other similar phenomena (independent from the player in occuring and impossible to combat in other way than evasion [but not monsters]) can kill you (preferably not instantly)?
>>383702714
They're short and worth playing if you own then. They might not work well on modern systems though. I didn't like how HL2 cutscenes were a locked room and you waited for characters to finish talking. It's pretty easy to make a FPS game today still hard to make a good game though. The hardest thing would be making good models, textures, and level designs. You would outsource or buy cheaper assets like first person camera, shaders, and sounds to speed up time.
The most accepted take on them is play Opposing Force and skip Blue Shift.
Can confirm Opposing Force is great and well worth a play through.

Opposing Force is pretty nice.
>Why did people complain about the way the narrative is done in HL games
People did? But these games were overall very well received when they came out.

Hey anon, what is you're game of the year so far? The year is already half over and many great games have been released. There's still a few to come but what was the one you liked the most? Also no consolewars, you fruits.
I'm looking for a very specific youtube review of one of the Yakuza games, where this guy essentially speaks nothing about Yakuza and plays some license free piano track.
I think one of the lines was about how he found a stray pube in his sealed copy of some game, and he once saw some lesbians kissing.
I can't remember who it was or which Yakuza game it was either.
It's not Dunkey, I think this dude was british.

What went wrong?
Haven't played the game but I don't think anything went wrong with it
people seem to praise it
Nothing. It's the same as every Civ game: incomplete till they give it two expansions.
Absolute garbage art direction (in my humble opinion) and what >>383702663 said.
Is anyone else getting friend requests from multiple people named Harry Potter on steam every day? This is some wild botnet, I'm thinking about adding the next one to see what the scheme is.
No? Does your username have any relation to the series? Any open trades that could be attracting bots?
Which Harry Potter game should I play?
