That makes no sense. They remastered SC because the game looked like shit in high resolution screens and people were still playing. You're not going to get a remaster of modern games.

Got it in the steam sale. It looked nice until I realised it was just going to be a game where you start fires and fish until you run out of wood and die.

When you were twelve video games were entertaining. Learning mechanics of a genre for the first time made the experience feel special and unique.
Now you've seen all the tropes so many times that most of us can't help but dissect the plot and gameplay and compare it to something else. Everything's a rip off.

Play something outstanding. If not objectively, something that's a personal 10/10 for you. They're hard to stumble upon so it's partially just luck.
For me, these games were Xenogears, Nier, Nier Automata, and Muv Luv Alternative. The only reason I'm still even vaguely interested in them is in the hopes I can catch something that will hit me as hard and leave me in as much awe as they did.

From what I can tell, the average person on /v/ will take one relatively insignificant mechanic or one small part of a game and blow it way out of proportion for literally no reason.
I'm not expecting Samus Returns to be great, but it should be a solid appetiser to Prime 4.
