For the MC, it's the bliss and pain that comes with experiencing first love. The MC's love interest acts a bit of an asshole near the end but it can be justifiable.

It's cute though despite all the drama and the actress who played the MC (Lee Sang-Hee, short-haired one) won the recent Baeksang for Best New Actress. It's a big event and she even beat Tae-ri from The Handmaiden. So one can say that the acting in the movie was good.

Yeah, Bilquis had a much, much smaller role in the book as one of the side stories. You know how the show jumps to different characters unrelated to the greater plot? The book did that too, to a lesser degree.

There was a character named Samantha who was a lesbian, but was influenced by higher powers and kissed Shadow, might have gone further if said power wasn't stopped.

Also, the book was as close to a harem anime I've seen outside of anime. Basically every attractive female character has some kind of feelings for the MC at some point.

I did, the MC is a lesbian, gets few scenes with her gf, get the mandatory ex-bf jerk backstory episode she tested the waters with at that time, but the lesbian relationship is not the focus, she's just gay like her gf, get some feministic moments which made me cring quite hard in it.

But it's rather boring, but since we don't have much shows with lesbian MCs you can watch it, maybe you will find it to your liking, for me the actress playing the MC is just bad and not interesting, the cases they work on aren't too build-up. Maybe next season of it will be more interesting.

So Supergirl tv season ended, Mon-El won't be haunting us anymore for reasons cause DC wants their leads suffering (and you really have to congratulate the casting staff for picking such actor who had zero chemistry with Supergirl for the role).

In other revelation Alex asked her female partner to marry to look up for next season, and we get a flash at a baby who will possible become next Supergirl love interest or villain or both in next season, or Lena's, and they hidden the gender using the it pronoun.

But seeing that they will gay up Alex even more I doubt Lena or Supergirl will get any female love interest next season.

Massively surprised that Into the Badlands season 2 ended with the f/f couple alive and together somehow. This isn't a recommendation by any means, really the opposite of one. Just thought I'd let /u/ know about it since I think I mentioned the /u/ development in a previous thread. Tilda and Odessa are the gay girls, a bisexual who turns out has an origin story of being a rape victim. She also previously liked a male MC before the f/f thing popped up out of nowhere. The other girl is a slave prostitute so as luck would have it also a rape victim origin story. The show obviously lays these retarded tropes on real thick and the writing is mostly total shit but the choreography and set pieces are occasionally fun to watch. Odessa will probably die next season or Tilda will leave for the MC, naturally, because this show is fucking awful. I'll probably still watch it though.

given shadows origin it makes sense that women are nearly supernaturally attracted to him, but the lesbian character kissing him is contextualized as well as it could be as non romantic. I had a false impression of it too. I blame the synopsis and poster, they don't convey what the movie is like at all.

It is grounded and sincere without relying on all the annoying tropes like most /u/ movies end up with. The side characters are even well written so they don't feel like a waste of time when they are on screen. It is my favorite /u/ movie by far.

If any of you is holding up on the Handmaiden due to the overly porn-y look or for fear it lacks any real /u/, forget about it, just watch it. The movie has no "girl on girl is hot" at all, just real love, and the pair is fucking amazing. It's one of those cases where they either had shit marketing direction, or just marketed towards the horny crowd as bait.
This was a masterpiece. Wow.

I watched Nightmare on Elm Street 4 last night and really wished the dog hadn't peed on Freddy's grave. The only thing I remember about Silence is that I didn't like it for some reason. There's often some kind of a vguely gay thing between the women in his films (see also Persona), but the really gay one is Cries and Whispers, where the dying woman seems to be in a loving relationship with her maid and the incest vibes between the surviving sisters are off the charts. I watched season 1 only to endure the human sewage that was larry. Forced myself to watch season 2 because I still had hope it would improve only to lose interest by the end of season 3 because it started taking itself way too seriously. Yeah, the spoiler for season four made me lose interest and not bother watching it too, especially because she was one of my favourite characters and deserved to be happy. For anyone interested in knowing what happens with Wayhaught but do not want to watch Wynonna Earp:

Last season's cliffhanger was revealed to be Waverly shooting at an approaching revenant/demon, not Wynnona or Doc, so no one knows she's possessed yet.
At the homestead Waverely checks out Nicole's injured abdomen which leads to some kissing. After the kiss Nicole remarks that she "tastes different" which Waverely brushes off just before Doc walks in.
Later they are gearing up in a barn, where they flirt about getting to work together, when Waverely spots an axe and gets fully possessed again. She raises the axe over Nicole's head as she's distracted by finding the hidden corpse of the demon from the beginning and brings it down. It's of course bait and she just chopped off the demon's head but Nicole saw Waverely holding the axe above her and starts to be concerned about her not communicating with her. Waverely manages to bullshit her way around the topic using Wynonna as her excuse but Nicole is still expresses concern and assures her she just wants to make sure she's "still my Waverely".
Demon head ends up being part of Waverely's disguise (a Scotland Yard employee complete with an accent) to help rescue Dolls from a Black Badge facility, using a random lab tech to help her unlock doors, while Nicole sits in a getaway car ripping on her british accent over a ear-piece.

Waverely accidentally releases a demon that was caged up and runs away with the tech guy. But she realises there's something she needs in the room with the demon and runs back in. Before the guy can 'sacrifice' himself for her she pushes him aside and brings on the full possession, which manages to scare the demon away long enough for Wynonna to come in and pull her smuggled gun from the decapitated demon head and kill it.
Dolls escapes but everyone else (Waverely, Wynnona, Doc and random tech guy) gets cornered by Black Badge and forced to sign a contract with blood stating they work for them now. They ask if there's anyone else who knows about the mission they're doing, Waverely and Wynnona lie and say no. Nicole hears this on comms and drives away before Black Badge realises she was there.
At the homestead Nicole apologises for leaving them behind, Waverely says that's what she wanted in case they caught her or killed her, but Nicole actually seems disappointed that she didn't sign the contract with them. Nicole says she needs to get back to the station. Waverely kisses her cheek goodbye but Nicole doesn't look at her, confusing Waverely. As she walks away Nicole watches her with sad eyes before getting in her car.

Also there was a new character introduced affiliated with Dolls. She gets a fair amount of screentime with Wynonna and some flirty banter. But she gets shot in the head at the contract scene though so that's the end of that.

Got to watch whole Orange is the new Black season 5 and how disappoitning it turned out.

Basically they even more toned down the lesbian making out at bare minimum, new characters aren't really that interesting, the plot becomes a bit boring after a while, and for unknown reason we get to see two times penises in close detail of a guard and the warden picture, and if that wasn't bad last scene after Piper and Alex wanting to marry, gets to be riot ending one which looks as a set up to kill some characters of actresses who won't want to take part in season 6.
The only way to make this series a bit fresh would be to move to different prison with main cast cause it got so stalled it's not even funny in its black humor anymore.

There are very few lesbian films from that era, and I can't think of any with happy endings. Well, unless Lauren Bacall ruining Kirk Douglas's life and leaving him for another woman with no punishment in Young Man with a Horn (1950) counts. (Seriously though, don't watch it just for that. It's there, but it's subtle and a very small part of the film.)

I've always liked Amanda Seyfried though so I'll watch it for her. Who knows, maybe my opinion will change.
