I crave the subtle gay. So many fic writers don't get it. I don't want to read about Kobayashi and Tooru having hawt sex, I want to read about them going to Ikea to buy a new couch. I want to read about Tooru finding it stupid that it's so crowded in Tokyo while there's an entire continent at the bottom of the globe that nobody lives on. I want to read about them going to a movie, Kobayashi being scared of the movie, and holding onto Tooru for comfort.

My one complaint on this show is how shouta had more screen time then riko, that in it of itself is a crime

I just read the manga, and I didn't like it. The writing is quite bland even with the fantasy premise. The characters are bland, save for the boyish main character, which is the author's self insert. The male characters are all effeminate, boring, and absolutely have no reason of existing. The romance subplot between the big tiddies dragon and the little boy isn't just annoying, but also gross. How come did this get an anime adaptation? There are way better yuri mangas out there.

You know, you're right. When I think about the problems the yuri genre has, the first thing in my mind is the portrayal of men. They should be manly men, that's the most important aspect of yuri.
