Instead of the far-off late 21st century, it takes place in the American Southwest in the 60s and 70s.

The girls are mercenaries who wage war for shell companies, over pits of gravel and mining facilities in New Mexico and occasionally other parts of the world like Egypt or China, and occasionally commit mass murder for briefcases of nebulous worth. Sometimes they defend hat factories and a lead-poisoned populace from hordes of robots that run on money.

Well I would want to see cars that fit the setting. If we're talking about rural country side racing scene, you're not going to see BRZ's, and you're not going to see Bugattis or Aventadors or any other super car. You're going to see modified beater cars or sports cars. I can see though the rich ones having more expensive cars but those would be like corvettes, or lotus, or bmw's.

Also a BRZ is not good for racing, it's fun for drifting and a track day, but it's under powered and not ideal for track, street and dirt road racing. You want something that could work on a track, on the street and even on a dirt road. I know its fiction but i'd like to have my fiction semi grounded in reality. Plus I am a sucker for all the cars I mentioned earlier anyway. I own a MK7 GTI, and have been hunting for a bugeye WR Blue WRX that's as much stock as possible that I can use as a rally cross car.

No, I 100% agree. This series is really fucking dark. I ended up skipping over a lot of Tracer's navel gazing, purely because it tended to be just her lamenting over her jailors' abuse. Wouldn't mind seeing more of our hero Lacroix in future chapters, only because hers and Tracer's interactions feel like a breath of fresh air from Talon's oppressive atmosphere.

i didn't like that widowtracer was even tagged in terminal velocity, since it's so minor. and like >>2317925 pointed out the SUFFERING is gratuitous. like, the worldbuilding is great but sometimes it just feels like it goes an extra mile to beat the piss out of tracer and ends up being goofy. it's an alright read tho, i still recommend it.

Talon!Tracer is a epitome of supreme edgelord.

I wonder why Sombra/Widow isn't shipped much by the fandom.

I mean, I was a big Widowtracer fan and I still am, but I'm slowly getting bored of it.

A lot of points that make W/T so interesting can be applied to W/S as well. Sombra is annoying and ironically, even though they are teammates she fucks Widow over just as much as Tracer.

Sombra is also your typical "fuck the establishment" rebel, and she'll inevitably have to face Talon for her betrayal in the future. Assuming Sombra knows about what happened to Widow, why can't she be the one to free her, to undo her brainwashing? Realistically, Tracer is neither a smart person (too naive, doesn't care about what goes on behind the scenes) nor someone who has a reason to help Widow (other than feeling sorry for her?). Sombra on the other hand is rebellious and, judging from her origin story, hates it when others control people (with her wanting to find out who the real bad guys are), and turning one of Talon's finest agents against them would certainly be a good play, when Sombra has to fight them eventually. Plus, she might not know about brainwashing and torture, but assuming Widow's reconditioning had something to do with tech, Sombra can likely pull it off and undo whatever Talon did to Widow.

And then there's the fact that she, surprisingly, considers Widow a genuine friend, although it's "complicated".

It'll be interesting to see how that developes. I think her lines with Sombra hint at it: "Ah, my favorite spider. I wonder what sort of web you're spinning now?" to which Widow replies: "It would be a shame if something happened to you on our next mission. A real pity."

IMO it implies that Widow knows about the betrayal, but having Sombra on their side is much more valuable to them in the long run than selling her out or blackmailing her, so Widow feels that her hands are tied. Hence the snarky comment about "something" happening to Sombra. Wishful thinking, or just musing a desire to do something without actually being able to do it. Of course, I could just be reading too into it and Widowmaker just really doesn't like Sombra.

That's reasonable, though I think it could also be a case of some part of Talon telling Widow to keep an eye on Sombra for reasons and then Widow just picking up that Sombra is showing her colors. I'm sure Widow cursing Sombra's sudden but inevitable betrayal would be entirely in character. Whether it's in regards to betraying Talon or just their little group is up in the air.

How so? So far she only seems interested in hacking big corporations and trying to understand who are the biggest players that run the world. Unless she somehow finds out that Talon is or was involved with corporations that are of interest to her, there's no real reason for her to fuck Talon over, except maybe as a contingency plan. But even if she tried that, she has no medical experience to reverse physical alterations or psychological conditioning. At best, if Widow's physical changes are caused by some implants, she could maybe hack them, but that still doesn't reverse the conditioning.
