It's actually the type of interaction. You'll see if you look around fandoms that as a general rule most people will prefer couples that have something antagonistic going between in nature, ranging from being tsun as fuck (Kyouko and Ayano from YY) to flat out fight like Ryuuko and Satsuki in the early parts of the franchise. There's a reason the whole retarded bickering like an old couple cliche is so prevalent and liked. More balanced couples like RyuuMako or to contrast my earlier YY example YuixKyouko tend to gather less fans because it's not high impact gogglable interaction, but a "boring" supporting one. I'm fairly sure it's a consciously controlled action to employ the body's fibers to speed up healing. Ragyo killed herself by simply destroying her heart and letting herself dissipate into nothing where Ryuko's core organs had been in that same scene obliterated at least a dozen times to no effect other than aggravating her inability to retaliate in kind.

If it was entirely subconscious their hair and nails would constantly grow at an excessive rate, Ryuko wouldn't have been susceptible to having blood drawn from her arm as her skin would have purged the invading needle as a threat, and if you think about it her uterus would either be a living hell on earth or completely nonfunctional in a permanent limbo which we know isn't the case as Rags was able to deliver twice successfully.

Those who have read the /tg/ quest know some of this already, since I recycled the ideas I liked from it.

From where the fic left off, I was going to show the initial stages of Honnouji's operation. That it was as much of a military formation as it was a school. Wasn't going to put too much detail into the period between Honnouji's first and third year, but a general outline at the very least.

In terms of Ryuuko's interactions with characters other than Satsuki, I also wanted to build them gradually. Sanageyama would see himself as Ryuuko's rival for a while, perhaps even with a temporary serious turn, but ultimately acknowledge her as Satsuki's equal. Gamagoori's begrudging respect for her would gradually become less begrudging. Inumuta, well... wouldn't change that much.

Nonon is a more complex matter, given what happened in the written chapters of the fic. I was weighing my options between just satsuryu and satsuryunon for quite a while, but ultimately decided to keep the romance between the sisters, as it's a story about them. Ultimately, Nonon would become the two's closest confidant, content with her position.

I'm sure that even for those who haven't read the quest, what happened to Satsuki during the uniform test was quite obvious. The fibers assimilated into her body, and connected to those left over from the experiment Ragyou and Souchirou subjected her to as a baby. Eventually, she would be revealed to be a Life Fiber hybrid much like her sister.

Another character that would play an important role in the earlier part of the fic is Mako. Over time, Ryuuko would slowly but surely grow somewhat desensitized to what she at first deemed unacceptable about Honnouji, being in a position of power and all. Meeting Mako would eventually lead to a wake up call for her, bringing her back onto her original path.

There's still of course the later part to cover, and if you have any specific questions, shoot.

People have written worse with more to work from. Just a plot idea that can end it without choosing a side and or making sequel bait one could use to go into multiple chapters. It would be a low power Ryuko fic in that form. Could also have it reversed with the two of them getting burned instead and fighting over who gets care from Ryuko first/more.

Likely similar to how it was in the original version, where Ryuuko ended up helping Gamagoori out with new arrivals, and met Mako and her family while at it.

I had a different idea for Junketsu this time. Rather than become sentient simply due to exposure to Ryuuko's blood, it would be the result of combining the Kamui with Inumuta and Iori's scientific experiment, a Life Fiber neural network, basically an artificial intelligence.

As for their ultimate fate, I was most likely going to have them survive in one form or another.

Definitely was going to be a thing, although somewhat reworked. I wanted to define more clear boundaries of what that power can do and what it can't. However, fusion was probably still going to be part of it.

Depends where I would take Ragyou's characterization this time, on which I still wasn't entirely sure. Nui could've end up killed by/because of Ragyou, but otherwise, she'd probably still turncoat.

Likely different than in the original. Souichirou's betrayal was pretty haphazardly done on my end, and I'd like him to have a more solid motivation for it. Still, he's certainly not a perfect character, and I don't see his and the sisters' goals aligning perfectly.
