- Akko blushed at handsome boy Andrew and her biggest character development came in episode when she's in the academy around him,
- Andrew is Diana's childhood friend who made fun of her liking Chariot and dismissed her way of thinking about magic, but as we saw in that one episode 6 Akko maybe made him rethink things about old magic.
Lets hope this won't change into another Luluco where two girls were aiming for the same boy.

This episode was great, I always like the go inside a person's mind and meet different aspects of them thing. I enjoyed the unusal refferences for anime and it brought the Sucy/Akko content in force.

The best part was this bit about how Sucy keeps replaying the memory of her first meeting Akko in her memory theater, also just about all of the things shown there were about Akko. I hope it leans into this aspect more but with how it has gone so far it probably will not address it much more than maybe an occasional joke.

The history of yuri/lesbian (particularly western) fandoms are full of people ignoring perfectly canon relationships with actually cute and attractive characters in favor of ships that are purely fanon. Sure sometimes I think the characters in said fanon ships are a bit more to my preferences than the canon ones, but the canon relationships are still way better to me due to being actually canon.

Nowadays, there's tons of yuri manga and games in comparison, even if anime can still be a bit scarce. Similarly there's a huge lesbian boom in western stories compared to even the 2000s, much less before that when /u/ fandom in general got its start. There's literally no reason to still give a shit about shallow non-canon what-ifs.

Of course, there's no reason to expect people to stop doing that. Even het fans fall prey to craving non-canon shit within their own fandoms so it'd be silly to expect yuri fans to be any better.

It's still sad how the relatively bare yuri landscape of the 2000s managed to produce so many big fandoms and produce so much nice content, while in comparison western /u/ fandom today is a wasteland. Madoka was the last show of that kind really.

I just watched episode 8 and holy fuck.

If you ask me, the entire thing seems to point towards Sucy romantically loving Akko and being unable to truly accept it.

For instance, the shyest of Sucy's personalities is also the only one to display a nice gesture to her, yet she gets censored immediately upon almost revealing what she truly is (possibly Sucy's feelings towards Akko).
The fact that the very same personality started to break down right after the cinema showed how precious Sucy's memories with Akko were could also reveal some sort of inner turmoil at the issue: she'd prefer the entire world be destroyed before accepting or revealing her feelings.
The thing that seals the deal though, is how the beast born out of this whole situation suddenly stops upon seeing Akko about to kiss Sucy, and how it seems heartbroken when the dream ends without it actually happening.

And that's pretty fucking gay.

You're supposed to use the japanese kanji, when constructing couple names. For example, over on the Attack On Titan thread there is a couple, Ymir (Yumiru) and Historia (Hisutoriya). The couple name is thus "Yumihisu".

Additionally, the rule is that the initiator of the relationship goes first. So if Akko initiates, it's Akkosuu. If Sucy initiates, it's Suuakko.
