That Halt ability in particular looks like it can be easily exploited on KOTH maps with accessible edges.

It's nice to see another tank with shields, but a stationary barrier that only covers one side, is barely any wider than Winston's dome and has about the same health is pretty mediocre. Though I guess she compensates for it by being the only tank with long-range M1.

She isn't OP on the PTR. Her shield is even more situational than Winston's; personally, I couldn't see much use to it on attack. Maybe for denying certain ults. On defense it's like Mei's wall, only better. You can close off choke points while your team freely shoots through it. Works great when your Rein needs to recharge his shield. Mini-graviton is nifty, but the strength of the pull is kinda weak. Probably to avoid sextuple kills in nearby wells.

Problem is, she's a tank. A tank with an interesting kit. In a tank meta. She's going to make the situation even worse.

"Sombra's" short wasn't really about Sombra, it was about Talon's unsuccessful attempt at assassinating Volskaya Industries CEO. It was meant to progress the story more than to give exposure to a character. Even though we did see some flashy moves from mostly Sombra in it.

Point is Infiltration felt like a proper continuation of the storyline as opposed to pure filler detached from everything else like for example Bastion's short and if they needed Sombra for that so be it.
Some of the characters are so 'outside' the general story that it will probably take a while to have every one of them involved.

Well, not sure if that was debunked or not but some /v/ poster who supposedly 'leaked' the Lunar New Event and that a female tank will be coming before Doomfist also said that Mei short centered about her cryostasis horror story will be next so there's that.

There's literally no way to replace a mobile 2000 HP shield with crowd control abilities and a strong no aim required melee attack, unless they design maps without chokepoints. Which is basically what KOTH maps are, and there Reinhardt isn't picked that often. In any other map, his utility is just too good to pass up. Unless they create another mobile tank who can shield all of his teammates in some other way (like, say, a tank with an E ability that raises damage resistance significantly but makes all enemy attacks autoaim at the user), he's not going anywhere.

What she did, however, was basically ruin Winston. Now his only strong point is an autoaiming gun that he can use for squishies, but aside from that, he's useless. Orisa deals more damage, CD on her barrier starts immediately, her ult directly buffs her team, and her M2 can be used to pull people away from cover.

I'm not gonna say you're wrong, but at the same time, of the several Overwatch threads on /v/ that occur in a normal day without any news, one dedicated to complaining about Genji players is a quasi-daily feature, since at this point complaining about Hanzos is the "arrow to the knee" of Overwatch complaints. It's almost as ubiquitous as Roadhog balance complaints.

The way I remember it is that it's way too weirdly spelled to be Osira and also she's not Egyptian(e.g. Osiris). Orisa is too unusual of a spelling to not stand out.

Don't know if this interests you, but Chu gave a presentation at GDC, at this particular slide he mentioned that Pharah's parents were meant to be a soldier and a public servant. I thinks its pretty much 100% that the guy sitting across from her is her dad.

I liked Ana's reveal for Pharah, because it showed how the two contrasted, giving a clearer Picture of what Pharah's place in the world is, but it was not development.

From the way it sounds, Orisa was a push by the game design team and art Director and the writing was there just to fill in the gaps. We probably are going to see a few heroes like this before we get anything like a story mode or development.

eSports is good for the long term health of a game, especially for a game like Overwatch where you're not going to be seeing Overwatch Black Ops and Overwatch Modern Warfare 2 in the next three years.

A multiplayer title is only worth as much as the population of people playing it. Doesn't matter how good your game is if you peak at 60 players a month.

Developing the characters is alright, but at the same time, they don't seem to be really good at it besides creating a vague background.

It'd be better if they just created stories as to why Overwatch or whatever the fuck Winston is recruiting for is even getting involved in shit. Some make sense, the God Program in Anubis, Doomfist's gauntlet(for a while, anyway), launching a satellite at Gibraltar, Omnic/human tensions in King's Row. Then sometimes they're just doing weird shit like shooting up some building in China for chicken flags.

Hell, Tracer and Winston shot up a fucking museum, were plastered all over the news, and by Christmas she's walking around London with impunity.

I know, but this pretty much confirms it 100%. There was an IGN fan questions and one of the biggest was if Reinhardt was Pharah's dad. The other big theory is that her dad is Reaper.

I think it was already confirmed that she's some sort of a genius. She probably wanted to do some research study, see how Overwatch operates from the inside and whatnot.

That's what Widow says when you're Ana and you kill an enemy next to her. It's obvious she wants to make Ana feel bad about losing their duel. There's also her "you're the shell of a woman" comment she makes before matches start.

Well you'd think that considering the 'potshots' at Ana focus on Widow comparing their abilities. Might not be an 'inferiority complex' but Widow definitely feels the need to self-validate herself when around Ana which comes off as insecure.
