Why has there not been another entry in the franchise in about 8 years? It wasn't technically that good, but it had interesting ideas.

I was always conflicted by how predatory the Arume were, even though it's super erotic. Some loving sex doesn't go awry every now and then.

From what I remember, the anime didn't sell that great and the original author was more interested in writing TG and traps.
Shame, really. I loved the basic premise.

Same here. I don't dig traps, and I believe the Arume were a tad too much thirsty and had a penchant for pursuing underage girls. However, I find interesting the clash of cultures and the resulting world after the invasion. And of course there's Hagino, a favorite character of mine.
Anyone ever got a copy, raw or translated, digital, etc., of the very first issue, "Kaminoko"? I never found it; maybe due to the absence of yuri there weren't any interested scanlating groups.

Where is this from? Searched every chapter on MangaFox and I couldn't find it.

The picture is from the Tenshi no Bokura spin off, which is weird and mies in traps, yaoi, het, and transformation with the settings usual focus on yuri. Also has a complete mindscrew of a plot.
The other spin offs were more sensical.
Not an artist, but I might steal some of the interesting things from this manga for a short story or two.

Which things?

Well, I like the idea of culture clash in general, and I also like the idea of a whole race of lesbian aliens. Emul/Emiru Force was bullshit, but the idea of some kind of material that can manifest thoughts utilized as a weapon is pretty awesome.
Oh, and the gostas, because they are so tragic.

To be honest, the whole thing seemed kinda homophobic to me, and I'm not one who picks up on subtext unless it's thrown in my face.
