If I was the writer of this manga, the basic structure of the plot would go like this. As we know from the early chapters, Mimika started off as a weak individual, a slave to her pedolust, and in the later chapters to her longing for Yuzumori. Meanwhile, Shi-chan, ignoring the inauspicious progress of the couple's relationship (the relationship might be cold but from the surface it looks like they're still very close to each other), is tormented by the existentialist thoughts of how Mimika is treated like a dog by Yuzumori and how the loli is stealing her best friend that she secretly loves. She tries to find out what's so special about Yuzumori that she's able to steal Mimika's heart that far. In a state of nervous breakdown (not that severe, but still a state of disorentation), she would get a chance to rape Yuzumori out of jealously (probably in a public bathroom stall). The rape isn't more than humiliating monologue and gentle touches on Yuzumori's naked private parts, but it's still quite trauma inducing for the little girl.

Then we would see the broken Yuzumori becoming increasingly clingy and meek towards Mimika. The childishness of her behaviors appear genuine this time. She also cries a lot. As Mimika learns the issue, her suspicion towards Yuzumori will be gone and she will be more protective and affectionate of her. Mimika will be like the mother figure that Yuzumori has never had. In the end Mimika will somehow make up with Shi-chan and Yuzumori will forgive her as well. The manga will end with all three of them vowing to love each other in an excessively intimate claptrap climax. The end, 10/10, best animay ever.

My idea is not melodramatic though. A lot of yuri gets too melodramatic.
