Just watched the first episode. The pacing is pretty fast so far, speeding through chapters in seconds and already introducing all of the main cast. Hopefully, it will slow down to a more ennjoyable pace on the second episode since right now jokes are barely given time to sink in with the current rapid pace. Also I could see the Satanika delusion theme getting repetitive.

I definitely had that first impression too. I thought that this serie's main unique selling point was severely underused. In the end tho, Gabriel Dropout isn't bad or amazing. It's a pretty safe, average SoL that has some good moments. Def don't come in looking for yuri tho.

I came into this season expecting Gabriel to be better than Kobayashi (based in their mangas) but I ended up liking Kobayashi more than Gabriel. Kobayashi actually feels like it advances in story and character while Dropout has the eternal SoL scenario syndrome.

This thread tipped me into actually watching this after seeing posts about it for so long. First few minutes were pretty generic and cringey but takes a turn and genuinely funny once it sets up the characters. Glad i did.

The best parts are when Satania is doing something stupid or when Raphiel is tricking Satania into doing something stupid. Some parts feel like an animated 4koma and have horrible pacing, but when it all comes together it's pretty good.

Watched some of it when it started and it feels like wasted potential as a 4koma.
There should be implications occasionally that Gab is slowly turning into a demon. I think her halo turning black was used as a gag once, but that's all it was: a gag.

Something like Gab becoming more and more apathetic about humanity, her falling and Vine becoming an angel and stopping her from bringing the Apocalypse.

I rather like the show and the tight quartette of characters with clearly defined roles and obvious pairings is a rather solid base for all the SoL stuff going on. However I will admit that i feel like it just kinda plays second fiddle ot Dragon Maid.

Out of the 5 that I've found, they are in order from oldest to newest; a poorly written gab x human_male!oc (possible self insert), a random trollfic, a Raphi x demon_male!oc, some random fic about Gab's sister stickign around an nonsexually spanking her, and surprisingly what loks to be a poorly written Raphi x Satania fic.

So guess I was wrong about EVERY fic being completely /u;/ irrelevant. But a 20% is still a massive failure.

The notable ones are the vocaloid fic (before it deteriorates), the Neptunia fic (not everyone's taste), the precure fic (giant yuri sandbox with fighting), the two Girls und Panzer fics (just good all around) and the New Game fic (very cute)
The author has a bad track record when it comes to leaving long fics unfinished and she really needs someone to proofread her fics cuz she has problems with grammar by her own admission.

I honestly don't know about Gab/Vigne but I'd say it's kind of likely at least.

The OVA feels really weird, but cute

In the end it seemed an episode of those shows where the new characters have problems, are arranged by the main characters and we never see the character of the episode

I would not bother this format more often, it shows all the potential that has this Anime and how horrible is the harem genre

Watching ep9. I wasn't really on board with shipping Gab and Vigne up till now since it feels like Vigne is just too good for that delinquent and the relationship would turn abusive.

But they had some nice interactions the last few eps and seeing Vigne tie up Satania this ep when it got too much for her has finally reassured me that she could handle Gab. Now I really want to see them together just for the way they'd balance each other.

Yeah that was the other thing that convinced me since the "Vigne gets sick" episode came just before ep 9.

11 was really nice. I was looking for a stronger reaction from Vigne though since I expect her to get massively turned on by Gab's Angelic side on the rare occasions it shows up.
