Like the other Little Witch Academia videos episode 1 was funny and enjoyable.

I like that they started from the begining, and I think that will be good for new viewers of LWA. We got to see new places, new characters, shiny rod appearing in a new way (which may get explained in a future episode). Be patient I'm sure we'll have numerous Akko and Diana moments to come in the episodes.
(Episodes 1,2, and 3 were shown in Tokyo on Dec 11th, so if you really want it you can probably find details about the episodes to come out there (don't brings spoilers back here!)). I haven't seen any announcement as to how many episodes there will be, but potentially we could get quite a few if things go well.

Just watched the first episode, it's so good, it's fun to watch and all three fit so well together. I honestly thought they wouldn't do something good as the two shorts, but it kinda looks better.

They made some changes in the city and I guess the plot will also be about Akko being treated differently for not having witch blood. Btw, Akko is amazing, I really like her.

Except this is nothing like LiS. The plot, themes, and setting are nothing alike. Plus the characters are actually likable for the most part. The worst it has are some pompous bullies, as opposed to the stupid cunt in LiS that does absolutely nothing right and hurts the people around her far more than helps, yet still has people defending her because you can be lesbians with her. I think the new series is a reboot. In the first movie, she found the Shiny Rod in a dungeon under the school and in the second movie she confirms she's only been able to make it work once.

New series, she finds it in that forest. She makes it work immediately (albeit with Ursula telling her what to chant) and then she's able to make it work again in the second episode (with Diana telling her how to pronounce the words on her trading cards).

There's more to suggest Ursula being Chariot in both canons than to suggest she isn't. She knew how to activate the Shiny Rod in both.

I'm thinking one possibility is that shiny rod was on her back (concealed when she was outside), and it was siphoning off her magic power (since we know from OVA and Enchanted Parade that it can store magic). There is probably a better explanation, but I can't think of it at the moment. She said the magic words correctly, was motivated, and went through the basics, so I doubt it was because of those. She is capable because we see her riding them in OVA, Enchanted Parade, and the intro.

You do you, and I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise. But that mindset makes for an incredibly narrow horizon in terms of media consumption. Out of everything that exists today, only a handful are even confirmed /u/. And most of that /u/ are limited to niche corners, certainly nothing that has mass appeal. In relation, fanwork is mainly known to focus on things that are not-canon, meaning you'll find hundreds, if not thousands of fic and/or art than compared to something that is official. This is because fic writers and fanartists love the idea of "what could've been". That they can do better than the source material. Potential, wish fulfillment, and self-indulgence are what drives fanwork production.

I'm sorry that getting invested in non-canonical /u/ has brought you nothing but pain, but it has only allowed me freedom and the ability to connect with others that have the same wishes I do. But hey, if dismissing everything that isn't 100% either way is what makes you happy then by all means.
