Tyrian fight was okay though.

The only thing Monty had going for us story-wise is that he was a good ticket for us to get some yuri in the show. He had a yuri pairing in one of this other works. I think that was one of the main reasons people from /u/ starting looking at RWBY before it started.

There was never a "filter". He was the one responsible. Miles and Kerry, especially early on in the show, weren't writing out plot points, or deciding who the show focused on. Jaune bothers me a deep and powerful level, I think he would do so even if I wasn't here for the lesbians.

It's because he's a walking talking plothole, he's wanted to be a huntsman all his life, come from a long line of them and yet he know nothing about aura or semblances and has never had anyone try to awaken his.
