I would be concerned pretty much only for Marth-type Lords.

Chrom has some redundancies with Ike, which kept him out of Smash, since they both generally attack with powerful cleaving strikes, but the devs are comfortable enough that Chrom's the one confirmed character and Ike will in all likelihood be included too. Ragnell has distinct enough functionality with its sword beams to be worked into a moveset, and in other spinoffs Chrom is augmenting his Falchion strikes with the lance Gradivus and the bow Nidhogg, as well as their two different ways of performing Aether.

Corrin will likely be included, and even if her signature weapon's also a sword, much like Smash her dragonfang morphing will likely be a fundamental part of the moveset.

Raijinto and Siegfried were shown off in the trailer, so Ryoma and Xander will probably be Swordmaster and Paladin-line reps, but again, their unique signature weapons means you can probably fit in somebody like Lyn or Seliph to play another samurai or paladin/Knight Lord without worrying too much about "clones,"

Nah, her mount is just a wyvern. Fatesverse dragons have some similarity with Awakening(and the world it shares with Archanaea and Jugdral) dragons, like their degeneration, so the wyverns might just have been a tribe of dragons whose minds degenerated until they were basically feral animals, much like Archanaea wyverns.

Dark dragons are basically just dragons that have ascended to DBZ level shenanigans. The three most prominent dark dragons, Medeus, Loptyr and Grima were all Earth Dragons. Anankos takes on Earth Dragon qualities in his corrupted form, in spite of ostensibly being a water-themed dragon. Go figure.

Only major difference is that hybrids like Corrin age normally rather than having slow manakete aging like Nah.

I've been playing FE Heroes and so far none of re dialogue suggests the summoner is male by default aside from the male noun "Hero" being used. None of the characters ever refer to you with male pronouns, always being ambiguous

Except that's not what's happening in this case. For Fates, both male and female avatars are canonical. As for the amiibo, it's not that "Japan is backwards and only males can be MCs", but rather that Nintendo doesn't give enough of a shit about amiibo to churn out the default option.
