I'm a little late to the party here, but I actually became a PharMercy fan over time (in large part to being a Pharah main). Pair Pharah up with all the girls, I say. Well at least they picked a somewhat thematically appropriate map. Spent way too much time digging through stuff of a futanari Pharah with an endowment bigger than her rocket launcher doing things to Mercy on fucking Counter-Strike maps to find the trivial amounts of yuri.

I get that futa's a bit easier to work with, but at the same time I've seen some neat stuff done with models from other series(e.g. Mass Effect) in regards to lesbian porn in SFM, so the dearth is a bit disappointing.

Can't think of any great ones off the top of my head, but if you're hankering for ideas look for oneshots. Those tend to have scenes that should work.
There is this https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11944260/2/Ready-Set-Go-Overwatch-Edition which is decent though it's kind of dated since it was back when the game was first released. Wasn't much lore known outside of what you could peace together in bios and stuff.

In a lot of the early gameplay footage/demos focused around either of them, Pharah and Mercy were frequently paired up to show off that they were the only two that could consistently "fly" and to show how much damage Pharah could do with Mercy's damage boost. So they really drove home their synergy.

Internet being what it is found you could make a pretty dank pun by sticking their names together.

We were high off Widowtracer and with a bunch of other girls we were desperate to see what stuck.

Soon after launch we got a Pharah and Mercy focused brawl.

And it worked out pretty well in the end. Artists tend to exaggerate the 5 year age gap but you have your tough but dorkily serious soldier and the more witty and easygoing medic, so you've a lot to work with. You can even expand it into family dynamics(e.g. Gremlin D.Va didn't start there, but really took off with her antics as Pharah and Mercy's kid), and of course Ana's on the team.

These things grow exponentially since everybody wants to get on board. People lock into the pairs that are popular. You aren't gonna get much attention trying to be a hipster about your fictional pairings.
